Update: Driver Swap is working well now. We did 15 Swaps overall with no problems. It seems that my friends rF2 Install was the problem, after he did a fresh reinstall everything works just fine.

 

Events

There will be an optional 1.5 hour race next Sunday, 2 June starting at 11 AM EDT for anyone who wants to test their driver swaps and setups. This is an elective race, but highly advised that you participate.

The Six Hours of Mid-Ohio will be the following Sunday, 9 June starting at 11 AM EDT. The rFactor 2 server and Teamspeak 3 server will be available only through private message. Guybo or I will send you the information once you've signed-up.

The download is available now. If you need it for the Mid-Ohio race, please send "guod" a private message.

The rfmod includes everything you'll need: the new LMP1 Pesca; the modified C6R; the Merc Safety Car; Mid-Ohio No Chicane; graphics icons for the event.

Because there is some hesitancy in signing-up before trying the rfmod, we're going to release it to everyone right now. After you've tried it, we think you'll be ready to sign-up.

Fuel tank capacity increased, ARB in-car adjustable (I know the real car doesn't have this, but this will allow us to adjust the balance of the car for each driver), fuel flow increased, tires take longer to change. Minor changes to pitstop menu choices.

Found a bug with the SC around Mid Ohio, actually 2...

When a yellow is thrown manually, it came out saying "Formation lap, stay behind the Safety Car" and then "you are ahead of the car you are meant to be following" even though the Safety car had come out and was heading into the keyhole while I was in the final 2 turns... Effectively putting me a lap down... We tried again and it went FFC and didn't put me a lap down...

And the AI on the server is crazy compared to offline... 50 in the corners, 160 on the straights, goes left to right and offline through the bends, and gets on the brakes in the kinks... So the AI is definitely off... Which is strange because it's just about spot on when running offline...

So the pole sitter will have to give the SC a lot of room on the formation lap...

Well if the SC is screwed up we won't use it. Maybe its related to the update I dont know. Or it has to do with the sls? Ah well it was worth a shot.

It's the AI on the server... We had tried a Vette AI and it's screwed... So for some reason the AI is different online compared to offline at Mid Ohio no matter what car...

I can't see why the hell that would be, must be something in the new build that has skewed the AI settings on the track...
