I look forward to your methods. Regarding the historic skins; yep, very very little on the sponsorship side of things, but still a little opportunity for some variety in there. Different base colours, stripe/nose/detail colours, etc. A sponsor logo or two was sometimes used, as well. (Al Pease, for instance, had at least 4 Castrol logos, two Goodyear logos and two other logos on his car for the 1967 Canadian GP). Not prominent fixtures of the livery, but certainly noticeable!
You "banged these together at work" 4L0M... impressive but hope your boss doesn`t frequent the ISI forums lol... Durge will be proud of you mate. Not many logo`s etc used back then as has been said but a talented skinner like yourself could do some really nice realistic/historic paints. Looking forward to your tut too mate.
There you go Jim. I have never heard of Grapette before, must be an American soft drink. Is it any good?
Grapette Soda was a childhood favorite--50's and 60's mostly-- I think it was developed in Late 30's. 2nd (IMHO) only to "Orange Crush". Good skin, as well as, all the others you have created. Good Stufff! Yes, it would be mostly an American soda.
There you go Jim, Orange Crush. Hope it's ok, never heard of Orange Crush either, lol. For all you Perv. . . I mean Sci-Fi Fans , Barbarella : Chevron Supreme : I promise i'm still doing a tutorial for those who have asked, it's just monumentally boring putting it together . . Try to get it finished for weekend. . .
Thanks 4L0M!!, now I'm sure, even SLuisHamilton, can appreciate some thing like the Orange Crush paint job. Probably even ole Barbarella! I'm pretty sure the Chevron Supreme will be considered at least "mildly" CLASSY looking.
No one could dislike an orange or pale blue racing car. Ligier gitanes livery is the one most beatiful car in f1 history in my opinion. View attachment 3250
