30/06/12 - Go to page 4 for mod download links - you now do not have to download skins individually ! Hi everyone. Here are 3 liveries for the NissanGTR. To install : If anything asks to get overwritten, make a backup of the original files first ! To uninstall mod, just delete the .dds files. Navigate to the folder : x:\rFactor2\Installed\Vehicles\NissanGTR\1.1\ (x being whatever drive you installed the Rfactor2 packages to. ) Depending on how you installed Rfactor2 you may need to place the files in : x:\rFactor2\Core\Installed\Vehicles\NissanGTR\1.1\ and drop the 3 .dds files inside. Go to game and choose vehicle. Choose NissanGTR and you should be able to select a new skin. Your car will have the new livery and so will a few of the opponent cars. I have yet to work out how to assign the skins to more AI vehicles at the moment. If anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated as i have never attempted to mod the Rfactor games before. Thanks for sharing. We really needed more variety of skins Edit: Very nice skins. The downside is that if you install these skins can no longer choose the ISI skins.
Just need to create a "NissanGTR" folder to here: x:\rFactor2\UserData\player\Settings\NissanGTR after you copy your new skin, just rename it like this: orig name: NissanGTR_00.dds you need to copy the new skin like this: NissanGTR_00alt.dds And you can select the skin in-game what you want.
Really great! How do you get that problem solved with the windshield. I once tried skins for Megan. In game I had always reflections from the skin all over the windshield. greeting Mike

Hi DerKutscher. If i install skins as described in the ISI documentation in : x:\rFactor2\UserData\player\Settings\Meganes2009 then I too get messed up windshields. When i installed Rfactor2, i installed the core files to my 120gb SSD which is my C: drive. Through experience of Rfactor1, i knew that someday i will probably end up my a large amount of mods, so when the Rfactor2 installer asked me where i wanted to put the package files, i chose my F: drive , which is a 1TB Samsung F3. I place my skin files in F:\rFactor2\Installed\Vehicles\Meganes2009\1.1 This way i can see my cars in game, nothing gets overwritten, and the windshield bug is not present. This is a temporary fix or workaround until ISI can fix the windshield bug related to where the skin files are actually meant to be placed. At least this way, you can see how your skins should look in game.
