I know this isn't a permanent solution, but isn't there a reset ffb as a menu choice in rF2? All you need to do is assign a key or button and the moment ffb fails, the hit the button/key. Next. Do you have that new update for Windows 10? That apparently has been causing havoc with usb ports.

    Hi

Over last few updates I had not used Rfactor2, I re-installed it to try it out again & purchased the Kartsim content , enjoying it a lot

Earlier I did some testing on the historic content , open top F3’s & branham etc , the content I previously mainly used & very familiar with

The first time I’ve been able to have mirrors & shadows on (low/Off other things) & decently rock solid performance ( VR ) it’s much more optimised

From a brilliant & unbeatable base created by ISI
Studio397 are polishing rfactor2 into something very very special

The only truely dynamic racing simulation with breath taking ffb

Keep up the brilliant work it’s very appreciated !

If a group of people work in a project, hundreds or thousands of hours, for free. And do something as absurd as keeping it in private...could be a good reason for this.
A comunity should be a group of people who contributes with something, and takes the profit of the contribution of the rest of the members. A comunity should not be a little group of people working for the rest, whom take the maximum advantage without any contribution.
The best way to ask, should be share before.
When you find the servers empty and the webs need people to survive, what is absurd? To take profit of your work to have users, or share it to other?

Do we want to have a good modding comunity? If this is the case, give them feedback instead to say that their work is crap or doesn't fit the current standards, or isn't laser scanned, etc, etc. Nobody born with the knowledge, time and resources to do a good work, quickly, and for free.
S397 is a little company without enough users to achieve licenses of Supercars, or F1 circuits, etc.
If we are lucky, S397 will sell a lot of new copies of rF2 and they will have enough returns to pay the right of these projects, and there will be more people in online and offline, and the modding community will be residual.

I've quoted @ebeninca , but this post is not only for him. I think that all of us should think about this, because we complain about the lack of modders, and blame S397 for this, but the all of us have part of the blame

Sorry if i have bored you

That´s crazy. It´s obviously a known issue that there is even a key, but the issue itself is not fixed. What should People think being new to this game, not reading here, encountering this issue?
No Problem with other racing game btw...

Most games reset the fbb everytime you enter the car, having a button to manually do that doesn’t say anything bad, imho

    T300.
Cant you detect the disconnect automatically, as it happens only after exit, so an auto-reconnect takes place? Maybe the other game is just doing a workaround (as said by patcheedupdemon resetting allways), however maybe they DO something at least

Update: I made a Firmware update of the TM Wheel. I do not remember when I did update last time, last year I think, so I thought it is quite up to date. With new Wheel firmware the loss of FFB seems to be gone ( I think it is a new version, however the update allways updates also in case you allready have the newest one, so I can not be sure).
I still think one should have found out a better Workaround ... say, you detect ffb disconnection (in case you can) and no ffb reset key is set, throw a hint or warning?

Both my ffb & motion rig lost forces/movement last night

The graphical steering wheel in game was staying to the full left even though I was moving real wheel & could still move car forwards with acceleration,
my rig just stayed in the position where it lost the feed it didn’t return to central positions

Very sure not a hardware problem my end

    It won't happen.

3ds Max 2010 support is abandoned (SW I use).
gJED tool was a must-go for me to quickly see the result of modelling in real time (WYSWYG editor) but they removed from last rF2 version replaced by nothing.
And some questions are never answered.

But nevermind, the 24H Le Mans open version has a number of stolen objects from my track anyway so you won't miss me lol...

Edit-> Regarding to "private" material. To start off, most of them are ripped from others work. Second, it would be understandable if they plan to sell the track / car but they don't... They keep the stuff as "private" for unknown reasons or, for hypothesis, to say "I have, you don't..." X-D

    Just plain stupid.
