Video is not working over here...but you can jump start with autoclutch on. :)

I really don't know what's going on there, but you can even use all aids on, except autoshift, and you still can jump start.

Please, can you move your player.JSON away from the installation, and let the game creating a new one and then trying again?

Isn't there a line in the .json "hold button for gear" or something along those lines.

I'm running out of ideas. As you see in my screenshot I turned on ALL aids, apart autoshift, and I got a false start. Didn't even use a wheel/pedal set, just buttons.

I can do the same with a wheel/pedal set, with a keyboard, with a joypad, with an external generic controller... doesn't matter.

I'm not saying you don't have the problem...but since it's impossible for us to reproduce what you are getting, is basically impossible to trace it as a bug.

    I understand yes.

If I look from the bright side I have an advantage over the others ^^

It's strange I can do the false start with turining autoclutch off and can't do it with turning it on...

I will do some research tomorrow and let you know if I will found out anything...

Thanks for willing to help me!

    I am clueless...

Video of me trying to replicate your issue without success :(
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/ivv66p1zin40u5v/RF.m4v?dl=0
(I think the sound is loud sorry)

I am with Tuttle on this, try a new Player.JSON and see... a brand new controller.JSON too.

Try with the keyboard (Like I did in the video)...

maybe their is a conflict in one of your button... I don't know...

What is that Hud ? a bug with the hud maybe ? try a default HUD

But it is definitely working well on my system (and Tuttle's one)

But if you feel like ready to try it, you can bind a button for the clutch and using auto clutch OFF. The clutch is only needed to take off and when you spin. (not to change gear) You can change the sensitivity of the button in the control, for the clutch I would use an higher value. like 150%.
So you only need the clutch when you are stop and you when spinning. I had a Momo wheel a couple of time ago, only 2 pedal and I had a button bind on the wheel to press. I think I was faster to press the clutch like that when spinning than now with a G27 and 3 pedals.
Try it, you may be surprise
(And I "think" that was what DD was trying to say... not sure thought)

    Good luck

ps. Nice choice of track by the way

I can't reproduce the issue and have never heard of it happening to anyone else. Strange stuff.

I have tried everything I could. I have deleted "player" file and tried with the stock settings. Still couldn't do a jump start with autoclutch turned ON. I have also tried to play the game in vanilla mode. I have uninstalled all the mods I have and tried to do a jump start again. Still no success. I have tried to disable all plugins and changing flag rules. Still no success.

I have to mention that I had the same "issue" with the demo version of the game.

I can do the jump start only by disabling autoclutch and therefore binding a key for the clutch.

    HAAAAA!

    Found it guys!!!!

Here it is that little ..... :D

In the player.JSON file there is a line "Hold Clutch On Start":true,". I have put that to false and it works! I can do now a jump start with autoclutch turned ON! :D

This is for using autoshift, so you can rev out on start without moving the car...

    Odd stuff. :)

This line is not intended to do what you are describing, still you are reporting some really odd stuff.

All this story you are reporting make sense just in case you are using autoshift, so disabling that variable, you are telling the game you don't want the autoclutch to be engaged on start. This way you can jump start.

If you are not using autoshift, this variable, is doing nothing. At least this is how should work, and how is working for what I see.

I would say you solved a problem nobody has, editing a variable which is not doing what it's doing on your side. ;)

But at least you "sorted" out...

    Another question guys...

Can someone please tell me if Random Grid position is working because it doesn't for me. When I set random tarting position it always puts me into the pole position (aka in the 1st place).

    Yes it is working.

When you are in the garage room, just before clicking race and start the race, try pressing RESTART WEEKEND, and see if your position is changing on the right side of the screen, where you see the grid pos list.

Check if you've enabled the knockout qualifying plugin, which can interfere with the qual settings (for obvious reasons).
