Thank you for your help, this problem has been resolved for quite some time. 1960s_OWR_at_Name_of_track Thanks again, Bryan
I was sort of hoping that the saved rubber was as easy BB. I actually tried resaving build118 under different names all sorts of silly things. But if you and others did not try stuff we would all be mushrooms hey ? lopl
The "saved-rubber" is a different issue. rF2 is not setting any "rubber" for practice.... green = not selecting any rubber file. I heard or read, that they left out a line of code. Christmas is right around the corner... If they're not going to give us any new toys, it would be nice if they gave us back our old ones... Dave-NRT and I are still putzing around with it though... Although, I think it's hard coded into the .exe file. Bryan
Hey, Just a quick "THANKS!" to those who supported my server financially. I just paid for another month! It's open to the public 24/7 as well as the Team Speak 3, that is running on it. Even though the name of the server is F3 Fanatics!, all the vMODs I make include all the 60s cars, Brabham BT-20, and the Skippy cars. Occasionally, you'll find one or more of the other cars loaded and ready to go. F3s and Skippies aren't a bad mix! And, I'm always up for suggestions on how to improve the vMODs. Although, don't suggest that they include all the cars and/or all the tracks. That doesn't work in reality. Unless doing a league thing... I believe it's best to have one track per vMOD, to keep it simple for the end user... You. IP=198.12.64.212 Pass=EVE Thanks again! Bryan Oh yeah; f3fanatics(at)yahoo.com is the paypal account where donations to run this server can be made.
Must be something simple next build. No biggie start the room 10-30 minutes early depending on track, set no pause and let 30AI do their thing. BB have you noticed a difference in pattern of RR rubbering with F3 and Skippy opposed to one.
Really well F1 F2 F3 together rubber totally different at Spa in old builds stand out like the nose on your face. Maybe add-on tracks don't.
I guess I should have said... I've never taken the time to notice. After all, I only race the F3s, taking out a BT-20 or the occasional F2 historic car, for "grins and giggles". For the most part, I would think that the racing "line" is the "line", with slightly different entrance angles going into and out of the turns. And, if it's different... and you have more than one class of car out there making different lines... doesn't that just mean we would have a wider strip of rubbered track? Especially in the corners? Sounds like a win-win situation to me! See you on the tracks! BB PS: fix your wheel so you can take right hand turns again... : )
Practice, CHECK ! , Real Road CHECK ! , Weather CHECK ! All systems are Go ! Would have been nice if Build118 RR Pack worked, I retested just in case, no joy.
Yeah, I found that out quickly enough... LOL! I'm sure you have your machine churning out some rubber I'll be doing the same, I'll post what I get... wait... why should both of us be making rubber for the same tracks... I'll start with Nords and work my through the alphabet, to do up to, but not including, Nords... Sound ok to you DD? Bryan
What format you want to do. Identical names as pits or shortened We need to shorten some anyways so you can see the full name in dedicated server for diff versions I like all caps so they stand out in folders. Started #2 70 USA GP I named it WATKINS GLEN same as the track name menu. DJ's mod does not have 60sHockenhiem #1 , I will do in all tracks/cars later on. edit: Go by the installed\locations order hey View attachment 5293 . ..........ripped off. lopl Done List . 70sGlen 75Kyalami . . . . . Indianapolis . . . . . . Nords75
DD is ripped off indeed. Nice one Brian . Me, I would not have the track name in the file name as you already have that in the folder. Maybe have the file name tell you info at what level the rubber is?, for example 'Light Rubber', 'Medium Rubber', 'Full Rubber'. ISI have a rubber file in their Lime Rock Park track called 'Light Rubber'. If you only doing Full, then all files would be called the same, ie Full or Max Rubber. Or 'DDs Max Rubber' if you want to give yourself credit.
Yeah the reason I think the track name is better it is visible in menu. Like if you have 3 rubbers and want to re save you have to remember all the names or alt-tab to look. One character wrong you might delete or overwrite wrong rubber. If I name the all light medium etc I have 80 mediums. There is no telling which is which for which track. If you got sent one in mail or something they need to put in a track folder so you knew what it was. No not keen on that idea. It is like saved setups from people ......... ( ISI YOU SHOULD REALLY USE THE RIGHT NAME to save ) Hector's GTR setup deletes his FISI set for the same track ............ NiCE ! Maybe a letter designated to end of name DJ ? WATKINS-MRR or WATKINS-M ( Watkins Glen Medium Real Road ) maybe
Howdy guys, I've been saving them under the track name, with the addition of the rF2 version. trackname_134 My wife is also reminding me that it's time for me to hold my hand out again for donations. The paypal account for paying for this server is f3fanatics(at)yahoo(dot)com Thanks in advance! PS: Your suggestions are always welcomed, on how I can make this a better server for us all to race on. say Bryan, i miss the only server in the list that had nords running with historics and lola. croft and all the stuff i can drive anywhere, but nords is special, there needs to be one server where you can push lola´s over nords, and if i find one, it is with no rubber. pretty please and hi DurgeDriven great fun on the indy server altough i keep having horrific crashes.
Howdy, I have noticed that when I run Nords and the Lolas that the server sees more action. I will have it up more often. As far as rubber goes, I believe you're in the minority. I could be wrong... Often am... Will be for sure... anyways, the rubber starts out very light, after that, it depends on how often I re-launch the server. Hope this helps, Bryan
I had a few races last night on it, thank you for setting it up. My average lap time was about 7m30seconds. The race was set for 15mins, so I was making it my goal to try cross the finish line after 2 laps before the time ran out. Lets just say I never made it, but was very close each time. It kind of reminded me playing them old arcade games where if you cross the checkpoint you get extented time or laps. DJC
Yeah, I set it up in a hurry... lol... forgot all about changing the race length time. Bryan PS; It's time for me to hold my hand out for... hand outs, to keep this server up and running. Donations can be made via PayPal. My account email for this is; f3fanatics@yahoo(dot)com Thanks, I can't do this by myself...
