Hi everyone! Sadly, we had a number of reports of an issue with our latest build update and hot-fixes released yesterday. The issue of Dedicated Servers crashing when changing tracks has now been fixed. Client Build iD: 11262531 Dedi Build iD: 11262536 Cheers, John

More like a Steam issue, imo. When i have those kind of issues, i remove all files and directories in steamapps ... And maybe use the validate option too : steamcmd +force_install_dir ../rFactor2-Dedicated +login anonymous +app_update 400300 -beta none validate +quit
I can use the validate option, but removing the folders would mean to create the complete structure from scratch which I cannot (will) not do.
Look what's inside steamapps, only temp file, but i mean on a pure 'dedicated' Except common cause you install rF2 in ... I install rF2 dedi outside steamcmd, sorry. Useful datas goes in install_dir "steamapps\common\rFactor 2" Don't delete common, for sure ... Remove only workshop/downloads and temp if so ... and maybe the acf files ...
After various tests. I admit that the new ai is much better. Just the problem on Laguna Seca for now. But congratulations on the work done. THANKS
I’ve had this error before when the dedi process was still running in the background, check that the server has closed properly via ctrl alt del.
which cars? I just tested with the modern Trans Am mod and the AI cars worked fine. Also what version of the track are you using. The most recent is v1.21. If you look in the installed/locations/laguna seca_2022 folder, there should only be folders 1.20 and 1.21
Yep, using official Laguna 1.20/1.21. The AI are crashing into the pits entry, and then many of the cars are getting stuck in the garages as well. This occurs with the official Ligier LMP2, and the IR-18 IndyCar.
With official cars. That is to say LMP2 Oreca, Dpi Cadillac and GTE....They crash at the exit of the pits, at the entrance to the pits and in the Corkscrew...But otherwise on the other circuits for the moment it is fine.
I know about this but it was solved by just moving / renaming the dedicated server exe for some reason (see #26).
No problem - it will help other people coming across this issue and some days ago I encountered exactly the issue that the dedicated server process did not finish properly and I need to use taskkill (task manager) to remove it from process table.
Just tried the 2022 BTCC cars at Croft and the AI rolled repeatedly. I chose 118% since the rolling seemed to be more obvious when your AI pace was above 100%. Just on the first warmup lap, many cars went up on two wheels and several rolled completely.
I woner if this new line has been added to them: Added optional HDV defines to prevent AI from flipping over: AIAntiRollActivationDistance=0.01 AIAntiRollDeactivationDistance=0.20
Definitely an improvement for AI when running full flag rules. AI behavior is much more predictable and they seem to find their place in the running order behind the safety car much better. Still see a lot of crashing into each other going into the pits when the race is finished, but that is not that big a deal since the race is done anyway. Anyways, great update! Thanks for all the hard work.
