Brilliant stuff @ChiefWiggum! We’re into the second half of an eight round season of Sunday races with v0.97 - can’t wait to see this mod updated (any chance of sorting the mirrors in VR by the way) The c-of-g for penalty ballast seems to alter the car balance too - not sure if this is intentional…?
The next league race is on Sunday 26th March - (league details http://www.simracers4life.com/forum...ature-league-thread-series-details-here.3043/ We are running the Early and 6-wheeler cars. We are also using your car set for our regular Wednesday night fun sprint races (10 minute sprints with reverse grids, Qualy at 7:30PM UK time - races until c. 9PM). As the league is 5 races (of 8) complete, we are going to stick with the v0.97 car set for that one but we have upgraded the Wednesday night server to v1.00. Both servers can be found in the rf2 matchmaker by searching on ‘SR4L’.
…I think there may be a minor issue with the v1.00 6-wheeler ‘windscreen’ by the way. I’ve not seen it in my (fairly extensive) use of the v0.97 car but in (very limited) testing of v1.00 (at the current track) I’ve seen a weird dark shadow flicker across the screen from one corner from time to time. I’ll try and capture a video later - not sure if it’s visible in a replay yet.
Had a great series of sprints last night in the v1.0 cars. The 6-wheeler screen ‘issue’ just appears to be reflections on the inside of the screen and are probably settings/VR dependent. Not a big deal after all. I noticed that the Headlight option appears to make the rear lights act as brake lights (if the headlights are not turned on, at least). From memory, this is ‘as designed’ in rf2 but wondered if there’s any way (other than turning the headlights on) of preventing the brake light function as it’s not ideal for a single seater (but I’m all in favour of headlights as it opens up night racing)
