Well after all was said and looked into except one possible obvious fix, I thought to reinstall rFactor2 and well would you guess the problem wasnt there anymore. Tyres are OK.

Sorry guys, I forgot to mention that I deliberately turned up wear rate to test less laps to get to the magic wear figure. So skidding at low wear and with high wear rate seems to be the problem.

They are all converted from rfactor1. Anything there to look for that could be missing from rfactor2 ones?. But the issue is to put it bluntly, when I hit the skids for extended lengths (in testing mainly), and tyre temps reach about 120 celcius, sometimes even less to 100 degrees, the game...
