Things are coming along well. Getting the little details sorted. There is not much to do as far as adding objects. QR is pretty barren the best of time. Here are some new barriers in the pit area. They are not exactly the same as the real ones but are pretty good and nice quality. I am working on the fences now and getting them looking OK. Here is another little screen shot..or two
I have been progressing on the track and slowly running out of objects to export. All going well the next release will be on the week end / early next week and that will be a big target. The last things to do are the trees which were out of scale in the old rfactor 1 version ( too small) Once the trees are done I hope to get SS to help with adding the AIW to get the other versions of the track, 4 in total. The next step is to work on Lakeside and get that working well enough to release as a BETA like QR.
Wow....I forgot how good Lakeside is to drive. Got me motivated to get a basic release out. I have never seen these little green and purple arrows in the AIW editor before, I am assuming they are aero indicators. Anyway, the AI are really good here and I will get stuck in after QR is done to V0.07. Here are some pics of Lakeside....

Lots of little fiddly bits and remapping, upgrading images etc. Getting there, less than a dozen objects to be finished before the next release.
Just a little update. Had some shadow issues but fixed and added more buildings, power pole. Working through the fences, fun...not. A few screen shots...
Looking forward to lakeside aswell. As a bit of a tribute to Darrell Eastlake who passed away today heres a great race from lakeside. For those that don't know Darrell is the excited commentator. You should hear him calling the weight lifting.
Lots done. Seems to work well and will upload very soon. Next step is to get all 4 layouts working on QR and then it will be fine tuning the trees and grass textures to get it more like the real thing. I may take a break from QR and see if I can get Lakeside to a Beta release before I go to Japan on the 30th. No promises QR now has a few trees as tests to see how they look and no too bad, although the scale is incorrect.Here are some screens from a test tonight with the Honda's
QR VERSION 0.07 RELEASED. Please let me know of any major issues. Download Page 1 Lakeside is next to be a Beta version. The issue with lakeside is that the interior of the track is basically a complete re-build. Pain in the butt but needs to be done. Updates will be through the next week. I am off to Japan for 17 days in April, so i will try and get a lot done .....
Oh my gosh.....what have I taken on???!!! Why do I do this? lol. It must be the messiest, crappiest mesh....In The World.... Would you believe I started this in 2008? I saw another version of Lakeside and I thought..."I can do better than this!" and thus the journey started. My vision for this track is two fold......First.....how it is now, 2018. The second....how it was when playing host to such names as Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart, Jack Brabham, Graham Hill and Chris Amon in the 1960s when it hosted 2 Australian Gran Prix races. Anyway...we will press on All I want to do is a good version for us to enjoy. Sorry to be a pain but is putting this or any Mod into Steam Workshop a hassle ? That way when you push out your hard work we see it ASAP . Moving files in and out isn't hard (obviously) but would just make sure we get your latest and greatest . Thanks for these tracks ! Man im hyped for Lakeside I love all your photos of Lakeside BTW , especially how you've gone and got all the gritty patchy worn parts that will hopefully be included .
Been doing a bit of lapping around Queensland Raceway in rF2 ! Awesome ! Never thought my couple of home tracks would be in my favorite Sim , Thanks . Really looking forward to Lakeside I couldn't make a track or any mod to save my life , the only help i could be is to offer to do a bottleo run or make you a cuppa while you work (and i will do this if you want so take this as it is , have you seen the mod track Poznan ? those textures and trackside grass and curbs would look great around Lakeside . It has a real worn look , honestly this is one of my favorite tracks just because of the look and feel it has . Nothing pristine or Tilke about it .
