I've never had the map randomly disappear while driving. Firstly, hit ctrl-f to bring up the fps display and see if it works ok then. Also, you can change the display in each session if you want ... so you could have the sector screen only shown during qualify and brake info only during practice, etc. It depends on how you save it ... alt-space, scroll down to pick option. I use save layout to all sessions, then it is the same all the time. If you change something on screen and don't save it, when you leave and come back it will revert to the previous layout. Don't have triple screens, but haven't heard of that causing a problem.
I believe it happens triple screen when running windowed mode. I run the trackmap and a couple of other options on the lh screen. Its what I always run and trackmap has always done the disappearing act when any AI vehicles are nearby. I actually find it somewhat useful that it does, so you know if any vehicles are close by. Anything from trackmap on the main screen is unaffected.
Hi Tassy , you press the arrow keys , back and forth. SHIFT+arrow keys forth : " enlargement " SHIFT+arrow keys back : " meiosis " CTRL+ 0 : " Map appearance " I hope that I've helped
Hello, i know how to make the plugin stop flickering by enabling the fps counter. but i dont want the fps counter on the screen? Is there anyway to stop the flickering and not have the FPS counter on?
Hi all Can anybody explain where to put the files of trackmap in a steam installation rfactor2? I used trackmap in old version rfactor2, now I want to use it in a steam installation but, for example, i can not find the bin64 and bin32 folders where track map should be installed. Can anybody help me?
@javirulo007 Go to your Steam Library, right-click on rFactor 2 in the game list and click Properties. Click the Local Files tab, and finally click Browse Local Files. That will take you to your rF2 install folder, which has Bin32 etc in it.
Hi mate , this works the same way , only every file there SteamMaps folder : Programfiles (x86) - Steam - steamapps - common - rFactor2 - and you'll find here the Bin32 and Bin64 anyway i have copied to a separate Package folder the rF2 main folder I hope that I've helped here are two photos :
Hey, I suppose trackmap needs an update as soon as the dx11-update is released. Does anyone know if this plugin will get this update quickly? I can't imagine rf2 without this essential plugin
Cool, It worked. By the way, if I want two installations of the steam-rfactor2, How could I obtain it? Is it as simple as to copy the local files to another folder?
As I could not find the way to fix it (or I overlooked the solution) here's a little question: I have a couple of tracks that don't show the map correctly. The map is there, rotates, can be minimized or enlarged etc... but the cars are not driving ON it and sometimes I see my own and other cars, but the map is out of reach. I tried to make a new track map in the plugin, but it does not get saved. Do I need to remove something in the track files first, or ?? Any help is welcome
Try extracting new GDB and AIW as described here: http://www.racedepartment.com/threa...p-plugin-is-there-a-way-to-add-tracks.127317/
Yes, it seems, all DX9 plugins needs some updates. Not sure about Fazerbox, was last seen May 2016 on that forum. Maybe @Slow Motion have the source files, too?
Unfortunately (I must say now) long time ago the TrackMap with source files changed property for further developments. We all can see that wasn't true and the TrackMap doesn't work with DX11. The plugin must disabled and the d3d9.dll must be manually deleted/renamed in both folders (Bin32 and Bin64). I cannot imagine me without the plugin, too. The learning curve of a track layout, as well as of a new mod will be much more difficult, as well as some parts in the developments of the mods... real time info during an event will vanish, because on my point of view, any other plugin is not able to show at the same visual way, without distracting in driving, certain essential info. My apologies, but I can do nothing more than writing this post.
I hope we get a good alternative plugin when DX11 arrives. The trackmap-plugin/GID is one of my must-have-plugins. I can't imagine to drive without it.
