To encourage the community who have appreciated our first version of rFactor 2 '92 Mod 1.7 LE, we decided to improve it and, although not matching the standard of our recent works, we think that this new version can easily substitute what for us was the first experiment of rFactor 2 platform, but that was also used by major community. 1.80 Version here: https://mega.co.nz/#!ds1m3DTQ!QWhNE3q-EAvTRBn4Lv5YJhA5HbEhIy25gl2dumeQth8 1.81 Version here: https://mega.co.nz/#!ght2lBhI!ZQbPGSPkShMl35gh6s9PrLRqC_Zn_7ivigRrl99bQMY “We make mods in the night, $1 of coffee to stay awake”
Any improvements to the '92 set are appreciated. The variety of sounds and liveries is awesome and even the 1.7 was amazing fun to drive. If they are slowly moving towards more realistic grip and getting a bit of polish it can only be positive! I'm downloading right now
A small issue with arms in the cockpit when you turn sharply, but these cars now feel better--more like the more recent releases. A very welcome update. These are so good, I can turn arms off until patched!
- included all 92 car models (early, late, wings, etc.) - updated all materials and shaders - fixed lcd display - new physics
Thanks for the update Really appreciate your work. I had a quick go at Interlagos with default setup and the back of the car is scraping along the ground for ~30% of the lap. Even with max ride height and harder suspension settings it doesn't get much better. Is this intended?
Thank you! I did a bit of modding on the 1.7 for using them as AI opponents versus the 91' cars, that's why I was asking... BTW, I supplied a RCD file to Ales a while ago... might be worth to include.
Talent files updated to reflect changes in class names etc. View attachment 15692 I do have one problem with the new physics though, It seems that at a certain point during turns the front end of the car loses too much grip and feels like its suddenly on glass. It could be a setup issue though ... but since the garage setups have completely changed since the previous version its really hard to tell what is going on. But I definitely feel there is now too much sideways movement from the front of the car.
ok boys, this evening i will fix car height undertray and include Surrenxen's rcd into rfcmp. thanks for feedback !
Please refer to one of the other threads where I was asking about not having visual sparks etc etc. I'm totally with you on that one, it would be the icing on the cake.
Unless you have discovered an error with the undertray, why don't you wait for more feedback before changing physics (it is a monday)? With 14 laps fuel, 7 RW, 4,3 cm rear height, and 2,4 cm packers, provisionnal Portugal setup, made a quick test and the car doesn't scrape at Sao Paolo (if I can trust Motec). Physics seem ok for me during the very short test I made, car slower and less forgiving than previous version, but perfectly drivable with adequate setup. Needs totally different setups than previous version. Thanks a lot for this improved version.
