This based entirely off the SpecMiata mod. Essentially there are very few changes Increased horsepower - 181 HP Slightly increased grip - most SC Miatas run wider rubber A very small rear wing with slight adjustment - think washers 2 gear boxes to choose from - 5 & 6 speed v.93 change list gear ratio/gearbox file name fixed - thanks MJP very slight grip decrease [~2% less grip] very slight power decrease [4 HP less] brake light fix v.94 v.94 change list: fixed gearbox options - really I did this time, I swear added 1008 degrees of rotation steering option in tuning modified steering lock options to provide a lower steering lock of 6 and upper cutoff of 40 improved wiper graphics in cockpit possible rear LOD fix These will run nicely with the SC1 Clios
Just did a race with the SC1 and was totally awesome! Wish someone will create a league with these 2 cars, will be totally fun. Thanks again!
first quick try : wonderful!...much easier (too much?) to drive with default setup, much fun!...The AI is a little too slow (but I think you didn't care it for now). But I have to spend more time with it...very good feeling, thanks.
Forgot to say thanks!!! And since this is still beta I'll report one slight problem with steering. At very slow speed when steering wheel is turned quite far from center it doesn't "auto-center" anymore. Kind of like torque steering with FWD cars. Maybe there's something slightly off with caster or steering geometry. Anyway quite minor thing as I don't notice the problem while racing.
Thank you for your feedback - much appreciated. Your profile shows Fanatec: CSW wheel with Formula rim. I do not own this hardware, so it will be hard for me to recreate the issue. Maybe you can share screenshots of your global wheel settings and in-game settings and I'll try to recreate it. I own a T500 and a G25
a lot of folks supercharge their miatas to different levels, but there is no official race series that I know of.
I haven't looked at the the AI for the supercharged version yet. I know they're slow off the line in the SpecMiata version, so that's definitely going to be the case here as well. The major additions to drive-ability are increase in tire grip and small downforce from the rear wing. Try setting the rear downforce to 1 and see if it's still too easy. I might consider lowering the tire grip slightly if it makes sense.
I got a PM saying that the name should be changed so that the mod is easier to find/sort and be closer to the SpecMiata in the spinner and list view. I'm open to this idea. Any thoughts?
SpSCMiata (short for "Spec Super Charged Miata")? Haha or not... However it should turn up right after the SpecMiata in the list. Makes it easy to find.
Nice! I was thinking SuperCharged Miata Level1 for the list view and SPCMiataL1 for the spinner view.
Today I'll put together a renamed version with some more skins. What is the general consensus on grip level - about right or slightly too much?
Short feeback (from work, not really allowed ) : Nice for the last names you proposed. I don't know if it's easy, but URD and also ISI (and probably other) created category and was able to put cars inside (E.g. Historic car), perhaps you an create such category called "Spec Miata", and then to have under it the Standard and both Supercharged? Just a suggestions, having names near each other will also do the trick Perhaps one day ISI will provide a way for the user to create it's own category and to sort cars (or tracks) like this (even by editing an .ini file, why not?). For the grip I was personally satisfied with the equilibrium you provided with this Level 1. This power with less grip and I scare it will be too difficult. More grip and that will turn too arcadish IMO. Just my opinion, in any case I'll practice what you will decide to set, I'm too much in love with this car! Shame on me i didn't play yet with the rear downforce yesterday. i'll try tonight!
