Auto update worked perfectly here. Haven't been able to test the new build yet but thanks for your work, ISI.

    Good stuff Duke...

I too have seen the black screen in a previous build but it only happened very rarely, once or twice kind of thing.

I`ll try that showrooms info too.

    Cheers. :)

    Automatic Update worked perfect.
    * Rain spray ..... now is not too thin, too long not too short .... ....... not very transparent ... no .....
ISI should make a sim for each of us, with our particular tastes and still not be happy with anything.
    Patience and good job ISI.

    Translated by google.

Hey, i've juste tested 60'sF2 at spa Wet. .. Waouw, amazing work ISI!!
This is now very driveable but very challenging too.
Transparencies of water spry is far better, great great work :D

But, i didn't see this evolution ( as many others when i try the new build) in your log list TIM?
Why aren't you talking about these evolution? These ones greatly improve RF2 eperience.

I can tell you guys, that when all rain effects will be implemented, we will have so much rain race online that it will generate some floods in our computer lol

Just an idea, there is no umbrella in the audiance when it rains.. lolll But maybe an idea of art desing or mods? Why not, you already do some cow and horses eating... mouhahaa lolll

So many thanks Tim and ISI, always a new game when a new build is out now

Still lot of test to do now, bye

These "lines" are pretty normal thing in 3D graphics. It's possible for programmers to make it look better but it would require a lot more time. Usually only companies that invest a lot of time and money into graphics bother to solve this kind of issues.

Shadows depend on settings. Basically, in 3D graphics shadow quality decreases with distance. At some point it's insufficient to cover some details, a bit further it's insufficient for bigger objects and so they disappear. In other words, at some distance shadow is not accurate enough to handle small objects. With higher shadow settings these ranges are higher and shadows seem more complete / accurate.

In rF2 this is also track-dependent, as tracks have their own shadow settings. If you try Croft by feels3, you will notice it has more accurate shadows than Brianza, even with the same options settings.

I suggest not to bother yourself until ISI gets shadow settings more less standardized. Right now it seems like their own tracks do not use full capabilities of their own shadow engine and modders can get better results using default shadow settings from dev mode :)

Thanks about info on shadows, be nice when this gets looked at, didn't know if it was just my system.

Auto updater was seamless, rain/spray has some much needed improvements, droplets on window screens / visors will really add to the effect when implemented

Not had alot of time to test but will do a thorough test over next weekend

Generally community seems upbeat about this update so far so that's a good indication

We can't be to far away from sound now? Impact sounds etc

    Really looking forward to silverstone as & when ready for release (-;

Did an uninstall (kept all the previous user and install folders), and reinstalled 228, still getting this verification error:

    Core\data.path failed verification.

    What's going on?

Game is running fine, I can see the new options...

Not sure about ISI tracks, but yeah, the wet road reflection at croft looks great with the reflections ramped up to high. I saturated the track, had real road as AutoSave, exited, setup nice sunny day and re-entered wet track. Looks marvellous in the sun!

Thanks mate, its much easier to put up with these issues when you've got some idea whats going on. You really ought to be on some sort of commission from ISI for all the help you've given us over the last year or so.

managed to get home early so a quick play:

    1) Auto Update worked fine & quick but getting an error message at the bottom, will post more in the support forum.
    2) Initial impressions of Spray are good, will have a better look tomorrow, good to see continuing work in this area.
    3) Env & Road reflection levels are very good additions :)
    4) RF2 is getting there, cant wait for Silverstone and the BTCC car now :)

I've never seen any road reflections, how do we enable this?

( I have it all switched in/high in the graphic options)
