who told you that admins@f1classic do not beleve all you hear its a rfactor track i had it before 2010 and codeye was dead then.
I just tried the mod and so far I can say it is quite good. It's got a way to go still - mainly the handling - but this could become a very good F1 mod. Sound is very good (although sound for lower RPMs and downshifting could use some improvement), car looks GREAT as well. Good job on that! Handling. It's quite good but there are some things I don't like though. First of all I am encountering random bumps or jumps every now and then. Usually at high speed corners like Curva Grande and Malaysia turn 6 and 7 (the left right sweeper). You just randomly hit a bump and the car jumps a few inches up and you miss your apex or go off the track. Usually you'll get 3 or 4 of those bumps in a row quickly after eachother. Secondly, the car could use a bit more grip especially on corner exit. I am now around 5 seconds a lap slower than real life. Not saying my laps are perfect and I'm not an alien as well, but I'm still a fast driver and there's no way you're gonna get even close to real world laptimes in this car. Last, I think there's something wrong with the proportion between RPM and produced torque. Let's say for example I'm exiting the hairpin in Hockenheim. I enter it in 2nd and of course then your RPM is a bit lower, which is normal. But the thing is, at low RPM I can - and have to - apply around 75% of throttle, but when I exit the corner and RPM goes up the car will suddenly snap on me with the same power input. So that means I have to reduce power a bit at corner exit or at least hold it there for a while. Quite frustrating considering the fact that in real life they exit the corner with around 25% of initial throttle input and gradually increase it. Currently, because you start with lots of initial power and have to reduce it a bit on corner exit before going full throttle, the car can just snap on you at completely unpredictable points.
I have high hopes for this A full f1 trackpack with this mod will be great The car right now feels a tad lacking on the physics, some if the cars reactions seem a little canned, hopefully the finished version will have a more direct feel / tire flex (I know there's very little with an f1 ) Will try again when closer to the finished release version Thanks for releasing the preview
