I think i have seen a video somewhere, where someone made a software that lets you fit projections on a curved canvas. You could wrap that around your head instead of 3 or even 6 screens...basically. The downside of this is the price of the projectors, obviously.
Sorry I took so long to get back to you guys. They are Dell S2340M. I got them for a nice deal at Best Buy. They are 23" but as you all can see the bezels are great. Downside with these are there is some degree of ghosting. Funny because it all depends on the game. Project Cars I see practically no ghosting. rFactor 1 is probably the worse offender but that being said it isn't like the whole screen is ghosting, just maybe a orange cone or a line on the road. Something to that effect. rFactor2 depends on the track you might see the white lines ghost a bit on the road but you really have to be looking for it. I'm thinking the overdrive might have something to do with it as I've read around forums that overdrive features seem to be the biggest culprit when it comes to ghosting. For the sake of those interested I'll see if i can disable that and see what comes of it if anyone is interested. But for myself it's not a problem whatsoever. It's not like the cars and everything on the screen is ghosting like crazy. Picture quality is INSANELY good. I'm typing this on my iMac and the Dells look just like my iMac screen. I must also admit I'm committing the cardinal sin of video. I just set them up and went to town. I didn't adjust any settings and I know better than that. It just looks so beautiful out the box. I will correct that though whenever I pick my jaw up off the ground. lol 23" seems fine to me though you will read that 24" or better is a must. I guess you all can see the screen sizes are just fine, at least for me they are.
A challenger appears!! http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...&cid=255160&lid=4522435&acd=12309163088460812 29" 2560x1080 21:9 (2.35:1) crazy widescreen ultrasharp!
I couldnt imagine my rig for eyefinity with these, not enough vertical height. With 2.35:1 its a fair bit less height than my 27" 16:9's for not a lot more width. Would be good on the back of a seat in a plane though.
Yeah, if my calculations are correct, I can see where you would lose almost 5" on height but gain about the same in width. I on the other hand would gain just over 1" in height and over 6 in width
