If I'm going to be a sim racer I might as well get in shape. Are you fat? Also, I wonder if sim racing is more fun if you don't play all day while eating potato chips and taking it for granted? And also you might not get as fat.
That would be easily implemented by setting options to upgrade.ini to contain few different car weights, but even it would be then possibly to choose closest option, few would probably use it properly. To extend that, It could be used also to set brake torque multiplier as at least from my understanding, it would be reasonable to have brake pedal force to be something similar to person's weight. Of course it might not be 1:1 relation there, guy in good shape would probably be able to produce more force than same weight poor shaped guy. Doing real brake controller would of course help a bit in getting shape part, 3 hour endurance race while pushing 50kg to brake pedal each braking zone might burn few calories. Only issue is time to really implement all those features, for example weight changes should also cause changes to inertia and CG location, doing such for over 10 cars with different engine options which each have different weight and changes to inertias is easily day or two, with limited modding time of ours, with ISI it would be firstly costing again more, secondly having player to choose his weight might be bit touchy/sensitive thing to add which they probably would be better to stay clear of. Also as anyone would still choose lightweight option, it would not really work too good, which I find bit of shame as it could courage one for getting into shape actually. New sim racer seat, that would weight you as you sit in it, bit like wii fit for sim racers might be one way to get weight into sim, probably would not be too much of success, "rFactor FIT edition"
My wife usually tells me I'm fat. She wants me to look like this View attachment 5174 I'm more like this View attachment 5175 J/k But I'm on my way there.
There is a new requirement for playing rF when it goes gold. You have to setup a scale under your seat with a USB connector to your PC so that the weights are setup properly for your racing. Those found cheating this system will get a 100Kilo weight penalty added to their car for each race.
Why not make medical check-ups obligatory and use the results within rfactor2? weight -> extra weight ingame height -> adjust seat position, no ingame adjustments possible leg press max. -> maximum brake pressure leg press stamina -> reduce brake pressure accordingly plus: - exclude drivers taller than 6"5' / 195 cm and/or weighing more than 242 lbs / 110 kg from racing open wheelers That would be fun. Don't take it too serious please.
Drive a 60's F1 at Nordschleife with no aids, clutch and H shifting 100%FFB in a G27. You'll know a new way of burning a lot of calories.
This can be done with a loadcell. The issue then becomes getting rf2 to apply a point load in the correct location on the chassis.
Momentum is calculated using Mass so yes , momentum should increase too.. It is the explanation given for not being able to travel faster than the speed of light. a kind of ...... Infinite speed, means infinite mass and therefore requires infinite power to go faster.
Sure, but that is quite irrelevant in speeds we have in sim, difference with speed in sim and speeds required for measurable mass change is astronomical
