This week I switched to a new pedals and thought that somehow this was the reason for this issue. Never had this problem before. But it seems it's not that, since other people are having the problem as well. From what I remember, there was a steam client update, windows update and logitech update for me as well. I read that people had issues with logitech apps before so I tried without them running, but outcome is the same. Only way to stop rf2 is by killing the process. And this is everytime now. 100% repro

Hi, this problem was reproduced for me when installing the last RC, thinking that was why I went back to the official one but I have not been able to get it to close correctly, it stays in memory and does not release it, so I have to close it from the task manager from the Steam entry where there are two processes in memory, one the executable and the other the Launcher, both from rFactor2.

Can someone getting this consistently disable any addon plugins and post a trace file?

(+traceflush may be helpful)

i had a shutdown problem i couldn't get back to the game on steam the problem was due to g-hub the latest working g-hub version is march 2021 newer g-hub versions prevent shutdown, before that there was a problem with steam and reported that rf2 was running but it was shut down it was due to an error from steam and repaired i have a g29 steering wheel

Now that you mention it, it is possible that the last update of g-hub causes the error. although in my case the steering wheel is thrustmaster I have a Logitech keyboard and mouse that use that software to create game profiles. I will try living to the previous version since although it is not sure my problem started more or less last week

maybe the problem is with the g-hub itself
install an older version of the g-hub and disable automatic updating
the check mark can be found at the top right of the g-hub program

same problem here. Using a Simucube 1 wheel. Quitting g-hub before starting RF2 has no effect.

Same problem here, have Logitech wheel and use ghub. Just recently started to happen need to use task manager to close it down.
