I think it will add a lot of immersion when driving in the rain Thank you ISI for this great sim! best regards
Racing simulation software developers other than EA/Codemasters don't give release dates on anything. Welcome to sim racing.
From some reason all youtube videos on this board show up as white boxes for me, so I don't know if this is the same. But is good reference to water sprays and also last era formula 1 cars that did sound quite good (unlike more modern that sound like dentist's drill):
see this post by Tim posted in August: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.p...tures-introduced?p=90462&viewfull=1#post90462 Obviously does'nt state where they are now with the tech but explains it a bit.
It's supposed to be high on the list of the guy who is making the car after the next car you'll be getting in the next update cycle. Clear? No? Oh well. Probably after the next car coming after the updated rTrainer. How long after, not known.
Haven't been told that yet, so I would lean towards no. But there normally isn't much notice. I would assume not.
Nice Tim. Sooo two new cars and rain over the next three updates. I will hold you to that and complain endlessly if these very clear deadlines are not met, mwa ha ha haaaa. Not Good to know it is high on a list though
updated rTrainer being the first one then a new car (is the way I read it), either way if he's doing it in that order then Spray effects are a way off yet.
Im hoping that when it is introduced there isnt an option to turn it off...having someone turn it off and then lapping a few seconds a lap quicker because they can see clearer than someone who has it on would be bad
its not often I dont like Choice but this is one of them occasions where I have to agree that it should be across the board and not an option, just as Jim says. Currently Special Effects such as tire smoke can be a hinderence when set to Full/Max compared to those that have it Off, can see the Spray falling under that option though...just hope ISI dont do that! Trouble is you then fall into the argument at leagues where lower specced racers cant have Spray turn on so the league ends up running 100% dry races all the time, similar to night races now.
That seems to translate too, "hey you know that stuff, that possible stuff I hinted may or may not be here this week"...Um...Yeah..."Well it not this week"...Ah right...Damn...I think...
