Trouble running the game build 1008 (Graphics)

No. Should be OK when installed normaly.
Then its another reason. How are other games running?

 

Other games run fine. Rfactor 1 perfectly with highest settings and 20 cars. C&C 3 works perfectly Civ 5 perfectly... Everything just works normally. I don't get it. I have absolutely no idea what's going on. drivers for the video card are the latest too.

 

Could you please make a screenshot of config-window?

 

More screens to show the problem. It looks like my graphics card doesn't know what to do. When my car is in the picture, it blinks white polygons all over the screen. When I look at the track with outside car camera and using U key, it shows the whole track floating in the sky without any problem. Except for, you know, it being only the asphalt floating in the sky. But no flying polygons while looking at the track.

I really dont know anymore how we solved this problem in old rF1 days. I know one time the card was wasted, but one other time it worked after some things we did.....
Dont read the whole thread - tested other driver yet? Maybe the slot on the motherboard is not proper??? Out of ideas lately....

 

other driver for what? video card? Have only gotten newer version, but not older. Two slots on motherboard are broken from day 1, 2 ram slots. But it cannot "spread" and graphics card slot and all others have worked fine always.

Yes I mean graphics-driver. You should find older ones on AMD-site or per google search.
You should do this first!

 

If you click on the Settings Button in the Launcher and open the Video Settings, which DX Version is shown there?
Should be 9.0c (4.09.00.0904)

 

Yeah, thats what I thought of too! But never touched config for ages, so I forgot where this info is burried

 

the pic of my config is up there^ I edited the post. It's correct. Just updated latest GPU drivers from Ati site. Nothing again... Have to hunt down older drivers but seems to be difficult to find.

Thanks, but i need win 7 32. I got them and now to see if I have to delete the old drivers or if I can overwrite them.

 

Normally you will have to uninstall newer drivers before you can install older versions.

 

old drivers didn't do anything. This is really frustrating. Have tried to run in compatibility modes, as administrator, everything I can imagine and nothing.

Not exactly, i have Radeon HD 5800 with Win 7 64 bit.
And because my machine isn't the newest, i have not the best Framerates, but i don't have something similar to your problem.

Just to try it out, what happens, when you set all graphical settings to max?
Does it make any difference?

 

You`re on a x86 system? Did you start rF2 as 32 bit?

i have 4 gb that system recognizes. 32 bit system. And yes have tried. no success.

No, i tried every time many settings to lowest to highest. doesn't make difference.

 

How about 600X800 with HDR off and see is the gpx are complete or that they show everything properly ?

something's corrupt with your install ..or you gpx card is about to go ... very strange that its only rf2 ..it does put a heavy load on any PC tho ..

just try 600X800 or deselect your vid card from the config reboot and re select it ?? IDK ..

when I had problems with the older ATI cards I used Catalyst 12.11 with Cap 2 drivers, google them and do a clean instal and they should work, they were the last drivers to fully support the 5000/6000 series I'm sure.
