Transparent Trainer - delta green or red - who cares!

Where is the logic behind that ? Thats in the same session, trainer is best

 

Trainer was your best ever, delta is current session?

Just guessing. Never had mismatches with delta vs sector split timings - apart from the -9.999 glitch.

Never used the trainer but me thinks the delta isn't related to the trainers time unless you set your best ever pb in that session, which would have updated that lap to the trainer.
As written in the player.json:
"Transparent Trainer Lap#":"0=off, 1=use saved lap (never updated), 2=use best lap (starts with saved lap but updates if faster), 3=always use last lap",


First picture you're faster than your pb for that session (delta time) but slower than your all time best ever pb (trainer)
Second picture, almost there but that .286 lost .......

 

So the "best" is not the session best, instead its the saved best. I assumed that, but it doesnt look like it, because i thought the errors i see in the ghost line, are the errors from session. ( i am fkn consistent . slow) But that must be my mistake, i will see. Thx.

You do a 30 minute practice session, then 15 minute qualify session, warmup session, plus a race to finish.
4 sessions, 4 deltas, first timed lap of session is your new delta. The HUD also displays your session best, plus fastest lap time and their name for that session.

Hopefully the new UI will enable us to save the best ever delta like the trainer car can.

 

I'm not sure now. If best is the saved best, what does "saved" do?

I might leave this to people who use the feature

 

Maybe you don't want your fast friend sneaking a few laps on your game and blowing away your "best".
I don't bloody know, I don't even use it.
I just read what is in the json and pretend I understand shit.
