I basically said sitting that close is like how Miss Daisy would drive, nothing to do with anyones Mum.
I dont have any problems rendering anything inside the car causing dropping fps!
I have a larger vertical field of view than 40 degrees.

Even with the seat fully back, you still have to glance down to see the dials, unless you sit like a granny and can just about see above the wheel

Well some say that they like to sit so they can only see the top of the dash with no dial or wheel in sight and i think that is like driving Miss Daisy.
Go sit in your car outside with glasses on, if you drive on the right (the correct side) shut your right eye, use what you see using the rim of the glasses as a guide that is what i use ingame as fov. Which turns out to be about 37-45 ingame fov.

Don't tell me it is not kike IRL. I posted both sim and real pictures. It is quite evident that the view I use matches quite well the real picture I posted. There you can see the top of the dashboard. Post your pictures and tell us your screen size, the distance to it and the FOV you are using. Lets see with numbers who is playing a more realistic view... I am already using 38 where I should use less than 30 for the distance I play. However considering I am not using VR or other head tracking device I cannot see the appex of the curve at that FOV30 in single screen.

Mate i use a 55" 3840x2160 and sit about 70" , just measured my distance to confirm it and mathematically that is about 43 fov but i actually use 37 - 42 .
Enjoy the pic Mate ! looks pretty realistic to me !

PC uses horizontal FOV while rF2 uses vertical FOV. You should divide above value by 16/9 obtaining 21.

Resolution only accounts for monitor aspect ratio. Once again showing that you have no idea of what you are talking about.

I guess you had nothing better to say once all your arguments have been proven wrong.

I'm pretty sure the OP is stating that the steering wheel could do with a bit of a spruce up and your point was that you cant even see it with your superior FOV and i proved that in two different Sims with a somewhat realistic FOV the wheel was in plain sight .
Now i'm on your list as well as Santa's .Yay .
