Hi I really liked this mod when I gave it a go, actually it's incredible not just really like. I race ai offline and it's probably just me being a bit poop but the ai accelerate so much better than me. Do I need to change bits in the setup to accelerate faster? Like a pleb I tried just lowering the angle on the wings and that didn't really help. It's like the AI have drs the whole time as when I get a better exit initially I'll start closing then their acceleration kicks in and they'll soon be going faster than me getting away. Playing on 95% I just can't keep up, even when I managed to nearly stay on the back when I got drs and the car infront didn't all that did was level the playing field for that straight and my acceleration was the same, couldn't use drs to actually overtake. Tried at zandvoort and spa.

Not easy at all to answer the question, very well explained.
What I can say is that the AIs were tuned on real lap time in few tracks, but it was made long time ago and with AIs is always a fight to find the best tuning... too many things changed in the time, mainly in last times where S397 worked to fix a lot of weird behaviours of AIs and they are still working on them.
Sincerely I don't know if their work influenced the AIs performances, anyway the AIs sliders can be of help, mainly that "95%" can be decreased a little.
Before the future release that will bring the 2023 Season, we'll take a look at the AIs.

I'm slowly learning more about rfactor all the time and learnt today I can change the AI grip levels in my player.json so if I ever do a single player championship in the amazing f3 cars, I can just edit that and hopefully a bit less grip might slow them a little, though probably more likely to slow them on the corners rather than straights, or ofcourse try lowering the difficulty :p
 
We are almost ready to upload the mod, build 2.00:
- added 2023 Season
- updated gear ratio table to the 2023 tracks (upgrades.ini)
- updated Talent file
- just checked the AI performances that confirmed to be closed to the real cars (tested on few tracks of the FIA F3 championship)

Unfortunately Leonardo (@Leonardo Nogueira) has no longer time for the laborious job of painting helmets. Consequently at the moment we have added painted helmets only for drivers from previous season, other helmets are painted black carbon.

I was uploading the mod update to Steam but there was some unknown (to me) problem and I got an error by Steam. I need to add the build 2.0 as NEW mod in the next hour and it will need to be again subscribed. First post has been updated but the link to Steam doesn't work and mod is unavailable... I'll keep you informed
