Suddenly rfactor2 will not start. I have installed a clean lite version and still get exactly the same problem. When I click single player I see the splash, then get a black screen and then windows comes up and says rfactor2 has stopped responding. Any ideas please? great, not a single reply. Just as well I managed to "fix" it myself. For some reason I now have to use 32bit mode. 64bit mode suddenly no longer works. Any ideas why this might be?
I'm not using anything custom, it's in a clean install of rfactor2. tbh I'm a bit cheesed off there has been no official support help here in over a week.
Howdy, Since the new build came out (860) I have had several problems with both my home machine and the F3 Fanatics' server. Although the problems vary I have had to do the same thing to get both machines up and running rFactor2 properly. Uninstall rFactor2 Run regedit.exe and do a "find" for rFactor2 and delete that entry. Hitting "F3 will do a "find next"; do that, deleting each registry key as you "find" it. Re-install rFactor2 and have a nice day. For some reason this new build does strange things in the system's registry. Good luck! Bryan
Thanks for the tip but this problem actually started happening before the most recent build. This is a serious issue, I lucked out on trying the 32bit version. I don't want to have to raise a support case for this, I really was hoping somebody from the team might at least tell me what else I can do to track down the problem. I've provided a logfile, what more can I do?
