What's HMD ? I beginning in VR !

 

Head Mounted Display

 

The device itself (Oculus, VIbe, Pimax, etc)

 

FPS (Ctrl-F) doesn't seem to show in the HMD (using mod SMG Hud), though was displayed in the mirror window (upper-left corner). How do I show this in the HMD (Rift)?

 

Im not sure what SMG Hud is but Ctrl f works the same as on my TV as on my Rift .
Just Ctrl+f and its there .

 

@sherpa25 Check which version of rF2 you are running. In the launcher screen bottom of the settings tab (see pic) where it says "current build"

 

Check that in betas is is selected None
- Right clic in iF2, in the Steam Library
- Betas.
- None

Tested, ok.... but it shows many parameters (CPU, GPU, etc), is there a way to display FPS only?

Trying rFactor2 again from a very long time ago.

First page settings are gone for in-game graphics. Does anyone have recommended settings for VR that I can use as a starting point including PPD?

I have an i7-7700k and GTX1080.

I use pixel x1.5
But again start low & Test for your specific system

Best start everything off/low
Then move in small steps

Race start with 6 to 8 AI cars in view
Press + key to view from AI to monitor performance of 1 few laps each time

 

OT: Tried v1110 after some break, but don't notice much graphical improvement... but maybe it's my copy of the Spa track? Will try other versions.

SteamVR updated recently and I notice that there is an 'Application Resolution Adjustment' option. Has anyone adjusted this and was there any noticeable difference? What is it supposed to do?
