Off the top of my head: -Adjusting the rearview clip plane distance -Forcing opponent texture quality -Lowering garage detail
We're not in germany here though. Internationally it's know as the Nords, because NOS means something different
They got the message, @Christopher Elliott will put his on ebay later. They are now asking about if we like esports like shirts, or normal t-shirts? Or fedoras
This proves several points at the same time: You have no idea about programming You have no respect for the work of others You favor a racing game due to its "better" UI That brings me! to laugh
Indeed, iRacing new UI has been in beta and running side by side with old UI for 2 years now, and who knows how long it was in development before beta.
Works ok, but it also crashed a few times on my end and it looks a bit messy in places due to too much stuff and colours on the screen, wich is mostly down to the fact that they cramp all their series logos in one screen. If people are fine with the iRacing UI they will certainly be fine with the new rF2 UI, given that it runs stable. But that needs to be seen. Bit of a shame that there wasn't anything shown about the competition UI and the MP hosting. Something that isn't working well in iRacing is the fact that the garage and ingame UI looks completely different compared to the launcher, so there is no consistency as within AC for example. From what I have seen, S397 got that right aswell.
They might say what they already told us this expo in their dev dairy. Don't think there will be much more
I am a new owner of rFactor 2 and I love everything about this game so far except the UI. Especially when it comes to adding custom skins which feels borderline, nightmarish. Is this something that will be addressed with the new UI?
@PUGS Just don't hold your breathe expecting a lot of new options in the initial release of the new UI. Once released and the inevitable bugs fixed hopefully complaints and similar long standing issues like yours will be addressed.
Regarding to the new UI. It looks absolutely fantastic, but we need more fixes, like... 1. I'm just hoping that the devs will finally come out with a good solution for VR headset usage as well. - Just check Project Cars 2, it handles the VR the best way. It's like the theater mode when you can see movie canvas in VR, but you are not forced to use your VR headset while messing with the car setup, etc. because on the monitor screen you can see only the "canvas" which is not moving with the headset movement. - And with the current beta version it's true that loading times are way faster, but during loading you can only see the last frozen frame in the headset. It simply drives my eyes crazy. 2. Mirror and seat adjustment - Why do we have to set the mirrors and the seat for the same car but with different vinyls??? - It's not priority, but would be so good to have the option in VR that the mirrors would follow the head movement as well. Devs, if you read this, please consider the above ideas to implement as soon as possible, I think I'm not the only one who would like to see these functions in the game.
