The new UI kinda reminds me of Forza Motorsport 3. Not a complaint. Loved that game back in the day.
They're still needed. But as you see in the videos, track loading screens are gone.
Are the vehicle icons in png format then?
I hoped and it looked a little bit like that in the video, that with the new ui, the vehicle icons would become superfluous and the cars would be selectable as in rfactor 1, which was a good system, in my opinion.
Ask about Discord best. Since answers the devs about the support always very fast.
The loading screen isn't the trackmap itself?
Instead of a yellow bar I saw the track sectors appear on trackmap as loading goes ahead (and I like the idea).
I saw that it was on there while loading. Marcel's shitty laptop overheated though and it didn't show it then anymore
Marcel and Christopher showing some of the new UI => https://www.twitch.tv/videos/475302804
Looks to be overly complicated, fewer clicks - more stuff on one screen to get where you want would be nice
I liked it a lot, it looks great.
Perhaps, as a first suggestion, I think when you add more than one qualifying session it would be good if you could select in one field how many cars will qualify for the next one.
In this same line, if you select more than one race, it would be good if there was an option of "inverted grid" (with respect to the first race) or even that you could select the number of cars that will be invested in grid (first 8 of the first race, for example)
</sarcasm on> I can't BELIEVE the shade of grey they chose for the background.....</sarcasm off>
The new UI is worst than the old : no AI skin selection, you can only add all the AI from the series like the old UI....Raceroom AI selection is the best...just copy this one.
With the old UI we can add 0 AI, and then choose the AI we want, although the lack of AI skin preview make the selection very difficult to have the right skins....if we add all the GT3 cars (we have paid for them so let's use them), there are so much AI skins for the Corvette /Bentley and the Mc Laren 720S, that most of the AI have these cars......The new AI has no propper AI selection (limit the AI number for a car and choose the AI skin) . The offline mode is again and again not taken seriously....AI fix ?
Bad new UI for the moment....3 years for that ? lol ?
and please do something with the sky and the dust, it's awfull, even CMR from 1998 has a better sky texture and a better dust effect...
Here ist the professional Video about the new UI.
Presented by Mr. Offermanns and Mr. Elliott!
Great job, specially on race monitor. I made some suggestions, please send a feedback:
Mod (car) column
Filter to Select Servers With 0 AI
- Control Settings
Description when highlighting
- Track Loading
Starting Point (Checkered Flag Icon) and direction
Description when highlighting
Race Session Info - Laps/Time
Full Screen - Pedals and Steering Graphics
Someone doesnt seen the full video.......
I have seen, and there is no AI selection like Raceroom, we can't select how many AI for each vehicle and what skin the AI must use, it's exactly like the old UI....
If i add the MC Laren 720s, there are 30 skins or more or less I don't remember, but there is no option to limit the AI number to 4 Mc Laren 720S for example, like the old UI....
3 years for that ??
Again, you dont have seen the full videos, they said they go added more functions,is still very w.i.p.,probably you can do better.....meanwhile take a break and go eat a snicker
3 years for a 0.0.0.0.0.1 version which brings nothing new feature compared to the old UI ? lol ? for rF2 i have never hold my breath, this game is slowly going down....
I have also referred to Mr Offermans. The option to create your own offline championship will come.
Also the amount of vehicles and which
all the people needs for the offline mode is a AI selection like Raceroom.
If they say it will come, you can expect it for 2025....AMS2, Assetto 3 and iRacing AI will come before
Feel free to write constructive respectful posts when you get your hands on the UI, in the meantime you need to watch the video again as there are clearly new features added
