What a Nightmare ! I have rFactor V8, Dirt, ALMS, Touring-GT and Open Wheel installs plus rFactor Tracks folder. ( 120+ GB total) How many rfms to edit !?! lol Why change to rFactor Steam I do not understand why anyone would. ? BTW: Why go about editing files to change folders ? All you need do is make a Batch File with " BatchRun" to rename them before Steam runs ? http://www.outertech.com/en/batch-file
Ah np John doh I understand now. So if you have not enough buttons or if you like everything mapped ( I am glad Historic is my car, makes life simple ) Back to BatchRun, would be good to see someone test. 1. Copy paste rFactor folder in Steam not another location. 2. Rename it for example rFactorALMS and add all your tracks and cars to it. 3. Start BatchRun make a shortcut for example: rFactor Lemans 1st command: Rename rFactor to rFacto_ 2nd command: Rename rFactorALMS to rFactor 3rd command : Run rFactor/Steam 4th command ( delayed ): Rename rFactor to rFactorALMS 5th command ( delayed): Rename rFacto_ to rFactor Save shortcut, name it to reflect series, add a icon Repeat for each folder. That way you have all your rF folders in steam in order so they easy to work on. Each "should" start with a click of the Batchrun shortcuts. When they close they will revert to the original folder.
