    Hi everybody...

    I've just bought a rFactor 2 license, I've installed all the packacges from the "manage mods" and the build 60 update, but when I go to simulate and click on "single player" I see the rFactor 2 splash screen and then I get a black screen with rfactor2.exe crashed after some seconds...
    I've tried to run it windowed and many resolution option but I got the same.
    My pc should be ok (p.C.A.R.S. for example, that is quite heavy, run very well).
    I run on Win 7 64bit.

    Then I try to login but it says me "No account exists with these credentials", despite i received the the confirmation email.

    Help Me:(

    Thanks

    Try to reactivate the game on the purchase tab.

    I've tried and it says that there is already an active license on my email...

    But however I've reinstalled rF2 and it still doesn't work in single player...

    Ye,s I can insert my credentials, the firewall permit rf2 to access internet, but it says "No account exists with these credentials".

    But the worst is that even single player that is allowed (verified) doesn't work and crash after the rf2 splash screen...

    You can go to the windows event log and see what error it gives you to see if it's an incompatibility with a program or an error of libraries, etc ...

    You should make a trace of the rfactor2 startup.

    1. In rF2 Lauchner go to "Advanced" tab
    2. write trace=100 in "Additioncal Single Player Command Line Interface Parameters" input field under "Single Player"
    3. lauch rF2 Single Player from "Simulate" tab
    4. open explorer and go to ..../rfactor2/userdata/log
    5. open the logfile trace.txt
    6. compare it to this succesful launch of rF2 singelplayer

    TRACE LEVEL = 1000
    tracelog.cpp 140: Command line: "+path=".." +hash=####HIDDEN#### trace=1000 +highprio"
    main.cpp 191: FPU=0x0009001f

    If there are no lines after "vidman.cpp 1531: Entered VidMan::Enter()", you may have an issue with you video (driver, resolution etc....)

    Firstly, Thanks GauchoRS for the trace command cause it helped me locate the problem to why my game was black screening on startup. Now, in the log I found there were no entries after hwinput.cpp. So I took the logical step of checking drivers for my G25 etc. In the end, I started disconnecting peripherals and surprisingly, after removing my mouse, the game started up just fine. I restarted the PC, reconnected the mouse and tried again and had the same drama until I removed it.
    The mouse is a Razer Mamba and I also have the drivers for a Razer Orochi installed on my laptop.
    This was a weird fix, but I assume the game is scanning for all controllers and for reaso isn't happy with all the ones I have. Its a minor inconvenience but its something that could ultimately be fixed I guess.

    The problems have been generated by Online Armor Free (the firewall)(I can solve deactivating HIPS mode from firewall options but it is not the ideal)...

    However I can't still log in online mode (and play rf2 online) because rf2launcher says again: "No account exists with these credentials".
    How to finally solve it?

    edit (solved):I've to reset password: go to purchase, sign in, insert account e-mail then click on forgot password. ISI will send a new one and online game will work! (even if rflauncher still saying that no account exists with these credentials)

    This issue SHOULD be fixed. We'd really appreciate those who had this issue to test and report back to us in these threads...

    More info on YOUR issues please, as thus thread is old and unlikely to apply. Thanks :)

    Unfortunately we don't use any SIMBIN stuff but we will try to work through it, please just give your own description.

    It's talking about not being able to find files... Assuming you've dropped the old rfmods? And that your data drive is actually write able? And that you tried reinstalling the mod being mentioned?

    Unless someone else responds with an answer, I can only suggest those, and trying a fresh install. If that doesn't work please email support. Thanks :)

    Hi Tim,

    Thanks for following up. I uninstalled the game completely and deleted the install folder (d:\games\rfactor2) and then reinstalled without any packages. I'm still getting a black screen on boot. This is the output from the trace logfile:

    TRACE LEVEL = 100
    tracelog.cpp 139: Command line: "+path=".." +hash=####HIDDEN#### trace=100"
    main.cpp 236: FPU=0x0009001f
    game.cpp 1693: Entered Game::Enter()

    plrfile.cpp 2035: Attempting to save to D:\Games Installed\rFactor2\UserData\player\player.TMP
    plrfile.cpp 2068: Retcode: 0 for renaming to D:\Games Installed\rFactor2\UserData\player\player.PLR
    hwinput.cpp 7535: Entered HWInput::Enter()
    hwinput.cpp 7536: HKL=0x08090809
    vidman.cpp 1726: Entered VidMan::Enter()
    game.cpp 2407: Entered Game::Exit()
    sound.cpp 1691: Entered Sound::Exit()
    specialfx.cp 4207: Entered SpecialFX::Exit()
    hwinput.cpp 7795: Entered HWInput::Exit()
    dynman.cpp 2966: Entered DynMan::Exit()

    Please help to get me on track

    Thanks
    Sunil

    When it's black, press ctrl alt del, open task manager through that, close task manager. Can you see rf2 now?
