It's not that they don't care. I think it is as simple as cash flow. From monthly review numbers you can tell there is no money for R&D. ISI went through same thing, started very early in the cycle when they dropped subscriptions. Was downhill from there. I think it's sad because I truly believe if you get people on track in rF2 and help them with issues the vast majority love it. Thing is that does not happen in a few sessions, it takes time and that is something your average simmer won't tolerate. I help train 100's of drivers in my room with the slowest car in rF2, 98% loved it or they tell lies.
Those who don't like it or have to use Beamng or Assetto Corsa, which are a bit of a scam in terms of knowing how to drive, as LMU is also doing. rF2 needs a little to be great, but it's better to make a half-assed championship game for people who don't care about simulation.
