Skippy at LRP.. Megane at mores.. Fr 3.5 at Silverstone.. Dallara at Indy.. In that order.. hour at each then he's. Ready for 92's at Lester for a workout
If it has to be an ISI track, then Mills as an allrounder but if addon tracks are allowed , the Megane or the 370 as a starter car at VLM Mid Ohio.
You not saying the Z because no one else picked it I hope Tim. lol 370 feels flat as a pancake. Needs a new build first. But that is just my opinion, what do I know.
I meant pancake literally hehehe On tracks it suits yeah sure, still could do with a little more rock n roll I just think the cars have good suspension travel on bumpy circuits show off rF2 well is all.
I remember climbing into a Skip Barber on my first go, driving out of the pits at Lime Rock and spinning at the first turn. And the second. And the third. I then ESCed back to the paddock and said to myself "This is brilliant!"
Lol, I don't know how many times I've died with that combo! On topic, perhaps Silverstone National would be a good choice now it's available? 370Z seems like a good choice of car.
Dont Forget to add some rubber on track before his first attempt. The slippery green tracks is one of the things why people tend not to like RF2 in first aproach. Any GT car will do the trick using Poznan, Croft, Loch Drummond or Sepang.
GMTA! Overall, though, I think the large spread of suggestions demonstrates the variety that is available in rF2 and the community's spread of interests. I do feel, however, that any introductory car should not be of the "spin in the first turn" variety, even for an experienced instructor in real life. Rather than thinking of it as a learning experience, most people are quickly turned off. Partly because they can't relate to the experience in a meaningful way. Cars that have more approachable limits are a far better first experience.
Thanks again for all the suggestions guys. He`ll be here next week so I`ll keep you posted on how it goes.
Agree with the skippy at LRP. A little rubber on the track, a few cautious laps to bring the tyres in a bit then basque in the gloriousness of it!
I think I would suggest Megane at Putnam park. Croft is good track but has a couple of tech turns. By the way, I've collected quite a few tracks, but what is this Monza '66?
370Z is a really great car to start I think. At Lime Rock Park or short Silversone layouts, really like this car, raced an online league with It and It's really enjoyable, at least for me.
