Released Released New Material Editor! (Car Paints)

The metallic flakes only work on the black layer.
You, sir...thank you! Couldn't find that anywhere on the tutorial but working like an absolute dream now! Also explains why I couldn't get chrome working on the black layer too. Isn't she a beaut? :)

"For this particular skin we want the base color blue to be regular reflective painting, the grey areas to be either matte or silver, the sponsors logos and numbers panels to be vinyl wraps. Only the Black region can trigger silver, gold, metallic paint effect. So for our example let's place it on top of the Blue region which will be the reflective painting. Red will be carbon parts, green will be parts, white will be vinyl wraps and stickers."

Good luck with this livery, its as beautiful as it's difficult!
For the arrows you can try to check if in your app there are pre-drawn shapes, or just draw one of them and then alter/edit/color and copy paste it, i'd do this way, but i'm not a pro.
You can place the coat-of-arms manually also.

thank you ;) for the coat-of-arms i thought it was a 3D object, i was wrong. i added the first arrow, for the others i will have to find a way

It has been said multiple times that they are working on a documentation about it. If things follow the skin editor maybe we'll finally start having mods look more similar to each other and give rF2 a consistent look
I thought that the documentation they was producing was only about the templates and skinning of the new GT3 (alredy released).
Thanks!!!

Okay, another quick question from myself here. The chrome effects are working great in the showroom, however, when I take the car out on track it's not chrome anymore, it's just the base colour on the skin. Is this a known issue or have I missed something obvious again? I've already tried the 'reload' from within the showroom trick but that's not worked unfortunately. I've attached a screenshot from in game to this reply, see about 4 or 5 posts back for my screenshot from the showroom.

Try Silverstone, Sebring, Bathurst or NOLA. Works there.

The Carpainteditor in the browser works for the new GT3 cars, but now that they released the templates I wanted to repaint my Bentley, but the Editor always says: Car not supported?

Does it work for you with the older cars?

Make sure that you really have the updates installed. Some times it needs unsubscribe and subscribe the content again.
Also you have to click the "RELOAD" button once when in Showroom. And also make sure your skin is not packed in a MAS already. This works with loose files only (at least currently I think). That should normally get you started ;)

So far i know only works whit oficial cars :)

The updates are installed, I have the 2.39 folder of the Bentley in "Vehicles" and also the Templates, with the date of yesterday evening.
And the Bentley definitely is an official car.
