Release Date - Date 2011?

(Excuse my english)

I think it's not serious all this "playing" with the release dates. Personally i'm getting tired of nothing more concrete. Not "angry" or something like that, but losing interest instead.

I know too that this is a simulator, and can carry more delay than a "normal" game, but all this "release date stuff" started to be boring a while ago...

 

Well, a little bit disappointment with this last info, (49% vs 51% it's the same like anyone says yes but no). Anyway al least we've got a official post and it's better this situation compared with yesterday.

Thank you Tim for the explanation. I think the logically thinking people among us would have been really surprised if ISI had embarked on a release of the open beta before the holidays. Who has a little bit brain can assume that ISI staff also have a family and have the right to a Merry Christmas and do not need to be available for support.

I also know people who yesterday write,

and are not afraid that they kidding their own community and make fun of other people that they have no idea of it.

Maybe you could release the beta before holidays and start processing the data after holidays. Why so? Because most of the players have a lot more free time during holiday season and can test rF2 beta more thus reveal more potential bugs.

So maybe take this into account, but this obviously only applies if game is beta-ready before holidays.

Was thinking the same thing meself.
Release the beta - ISI enjoy their jollies - we enjoy beta testing our new toy - normal service and bug fixing resumes in the new year.
Makes sense to me, but there again what do I know.

 

trouble is if ISI release the Beta before Xmas then disappear to rightly be with their families, they will miss hundreds of posts regarding bugs, crashes, annoyances etc.....then everyone who posted about them will want to know why ISI missed them! I think therefore its for the best if its just released next year, for everyone involved including us!
