[WIP] Race Engineer (Spotter) plugin for rFactor 2

Hi Gerald, I just wanted to pass on my thanks for this wonderful work, it really adds to the experience and I cannot wait to see it develop.
I'm not sure I hear the faster/slower messages but everything else is coming through ok. The only big issue I have is normalisation of the sound files. Sound was balanced for 0.5 and in 0.6 the computer generated voices are too low in volume.
Thank, i will normalize sounds and also try to amplify sounds to avoid touching rF2 Audio setting.

I've just tested again and can hear the faster/slower messages OK. Not sure if I wasn't paying attention enough or if it was car/track mod combo. If I find an issue, I'll let you know.

Mine was very quite as well. The warnings of tyre and brake temperatures was perfect but I couldn't hear anything else.

Love it though

Also, I'm getting rfactor2.exe crashes when I've got either this or the TV plugin activated. Not sure if anyone else is having this

Love the plugin! Brilliant stuff, very well done.

One thing though... Will it in time be possible to have the same voice relaying all messages?

These are now done! I integrated fmod, and I got to a first proof of concept version of the plugin.
I'm uploading a video to YouTube right now. Not much really, just a voice that says "Your brakes are too hot, go easy, cool them down" :-)
There is a very basic debouncing now, so the guy won't continue repeating the same thing over and over. Will just do that once every x (30?) seconds at most.

Here you go:

If anyone has any idea here...

Next step: collect a list of checks/alerts I want to implement.

That voice sounds exactly like the voice in the rF1 spotter program:)

Great work. Thankyou.

The plug in gives me brake and tyre temps at strange times( end of a long straight), is there a way to call for the info with a button press?

providing a keystroke for this would be great ...in order to be able to assign it to a voice command (``hey, whats are the brake temps ?`` or so)

great idea. I too find it odd that it gives temps right after I leave the pits for example.

Raced a 55 mins race today online. First it worked like it should I guess but after 30 mins it stopped working entirely. What could have caused that? (version was still 0.5)

It is not strange as when the plugin tell you that it is not at correct temperature, the configuration tell to wait 160s until telling you again the message. So if your tyre/break isn't good, those 2mn waiting can be in a straigth line.

Plugin v0.7 Available
- Added the plugin version in the chat message box the first time you enter the car
- Add possibility to specify shortcuts and use it in [Rule.x] section -> I have created a shortcut (Right Alt + J) to tell you the status of your tyre and break temperature. You can create up to 20 shortcut and apply them at any rules of your choice.

EDIT: I will try to test it on long run, to see if there is trouble after some times.

Uhhhh nice :D

Is it possible to map this to a controller/wheel button?

YESSSS ! It works !

For the first time in rFactor2 we have real voice communication between driver and his race engineer !!!
With the shortcut facility it is possible to ask for a ``temperature check`` (using FreePIE voice recognition script) and the plugin answers with the livetime result. FreePIE may or may not display the related MFD hud info.

This is an huge advance in immersion - thanks again, Gerald !! Your development speed is impressive

Holy sh*! can you explain it a bit more or post a "how to"
WANT HAVE THIS ! ! :)

I am getting green green green and brakes and tyres temp messages, yellow flag in sector warning, you just set your best lap but no lap times or gaps timing.

Do all other messages have to be configured? I am using all standard INI files.
