Brilliant, that makes total sense. I got the civic name from opening the VEH file in carstat 2 so I assume that's the correct one. Thanks for the clarifications
Plugin v0.5 Available - Rework the NextSlower event (when you cut the start line and if you make a faster lap than him with a gap >=0.1 and <=3 seconds) - Rework the BehindFaster (when he cut the start line and if he make a faster lap than you with a gap >=0.1 and <=3 seconds) - Now Break Temp & Tire Temp are checked at UpdateScoring as soon as you are not in an initial lap (first lap after jumping from the monitor to the car) - New Pit Stop Count Down event. Once you have been once at your pit stop area (meaning speed near 0 in pilane), the next time you enter the pilane the spotter will tell you at how many seconds your are from your pit stop area (5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1). Usefull in NASCAR race where they are so many car in pitlane that you on't know were is your pit.
Plugin v0.6 Available - Add CarInRadius event (car at left, car at right, car both side, all clear) -> this event have a detail=3 so you can put maxDetailLevel=2 to avoid it
Some feedback for 0.5: - No CTD anymore (didn't copy basic dll to 32bin becuase I'm using 64bit version, not sure if it affected) - Didn't get blue flag message (though I don't need one) - Didn't get "faster than you by X/slower than you by X" message if I was leading. It worked when I drove in the middle. If it doesn't work in lead because there isn't anybody in front then could you make it to say only "the car behind you have been X slower/faster than you in the few last laps"? Some suggestions: - Could you add that your spotter tells you your lap time like the ISI spotter. I know that there are other messages that come right after you finish a lap but could you programm it so it say it like 10 sec after you have completed a lap? message "your last lap was X" - Would be cool if you would get a message in the finish, like "Nice job, you won the race!", "Better luck next time", "Good job, you're on the podium" , "P5, we will get them next time" etc. - Could we get a message that tells you about worn tyres or damaged car? This would be really cool. Thanks for listening
TIG it already gives an end of race message. I had "well done, we finished in the points" or something similar. I guess that's linked to the rules ini
As i said, the default rules tell only "car behind you is faster...", and "car in front of you is slower...", so when you are the leader you will only have the "car behind you is faster..." - i checked and it works Some suggestions: Don't forget, the goal of the spotter is to be fully customizable, if the spotter don't have it (yet or never), you can add it yourself. For example this feature is already possible (just get the NUM_xxxx.wav of the ISI Commentary MAS and look the event PlayerLaptime from their ini, you will be able to add it in my spotter) Already exists Yes i will implements those things
Didn't get those messages as a leading car (faster/slower behind/in front)... only a fact...otherwise it worked. Maybe you could check it? Do know how to mess with MAS files Raced two races but didn't get anything when I finished (P1 and P10)... please check what could be the reason Thanks for the last one looking forward to it!
I just did a race, finished P1 and had the correct message. Will look if i find something but it seems to work.
I copied the files to the correct directory but when I start a race the plugin icon on the top left is not showing. Can you try assist?
Oops. My bad, it didn't work on single player but worked online. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hi Gerald, I just wanted to pass on my thanks for this wonderful work, it really adds to the experience and I cannot wait to see it develop. I'm not sure I hear the faster/slower messages but everything else is coming through ok. The only big issue I have is normalisation of the sound files. Sound was balanced for 0.5 and in 0.6 the computer generated voices are too low in volume.
Haven't tried 0.6 yet... used 0.5 online yesterday and still didn't get any finish message. You probably have tested it with 64bit version too? (that's what I'm using)
