    Hi Addict,

I play often with a projector, full hd 1080p through HDMI. I'm not sure to understand your statement "HDMI only take 24 fps and VGA is analogical". Why your HDMI can take only 24fps? I can play at 60 fps with my projector through HDMI...

Do you connect the PC to HDMI and you have 60fps in 1920x1080 resolution??

perhaps in 3D mode only get 24 fps...I do not remember

    Thanks

In order to answer you question about frame rate, I direct you to this article: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-33199_7-57321956-221/why-all-hdmi-cables-are-the-same-part-2/ In it, you will see that there are 4 different types of HDMI cable, what you want is a high speed cable, capable of handling 1080p, the lower speed cables only handle up to 1080i. High speed cables are capable of doing 60fps. 3D doesn't make any difference btw, as the separate images are transferred separately.

Yes, my video card, GTX670, is plugged using HDMI to HDMI cable to my projector, and I can have a lot of different frequencies, including 60fps when playing. AFAIK using 3D Projector through HDMI don't allow you to reach 60 fps due to HDMI limited bandwidth (even HDMI 1.4). If you want 3D gaming 60fps you will need to lower resolution to 720P, or to use DVI dual link cable (from the video card and having a projector with such connector too) cable.
