A few months ago I got permission to use the works of Iaroslav Zavialov's great 3d exterior P935/K3 model. It started as a "would it be possible project", but now I have spend 2 months learning about the 935/K3 and getting it to rFactor2. There are still so much to do, but hopefully soon I can release a test version to get input from others. I have spend some time making a cockpit with great details trying to get it as realistic as I can manage. But I have added a optional classic digital display, since these cars dont have a speedometer. Test release v0.54 16 historical liveries (1979-1982) 710 HP at 1.5 bar turbo pressure (incar adjustable to 2.0, but will overheat) This car is not made by the physics spreadsheet, so some values are from the 1973 RSR mod (Sderenno), others with inspiration from other cars, and then my subjective feeling, and of course engine and tire outputs from Redapg's fantastic tool. Steam link - remember its a test version!! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3302162380 v.0.54 Big change on setup values, which change the driving feel of the car. Bug, there are some damper noise introduced that I need to fix. Spoiler: version history v.053 Added 2 more liveries Fixed windows tints Lowered the car visually a tiny bit. v.0.52.2 Fixed - Engine have a rpm shift limiter, so you have to lift speeder entirely to shift gear. Cant figure out where to remove or minimize this. Fixed - Tirewear turns the tire white Fixed- headphysics Bugs, todo and other info Missing wiper animation (done 4 tries and still end up wrong in game, this is on pause) I have spend alot of time trying to get better tire feel and I'm still not satified. At the moment I have included 4 different set of tires, please give a headsup on which one you feel works best for this car, or even better make a better set for it. SlickMod2 (my favorite, but flatspots way too quickly) Slicks74 (based on ISI Slick 1974) SlickMod3 SlickMod4 If anyone is up for the task to make a better setup/suspension/tire, contributions are welcome. I have not limited most of the setup values range, any suggestions to limits or other ranges are welcome. AI still drives a little boaty. Driver animation missing/not good borrowed the one from 1973 RSR but will replace with static or new. Still missing a lot of cockpit background details. The car overheat if you give it too much turbo boost or if you idle for too long. Still messing with sounds, alot to fix and adjust, and somehow backfire stopped working. Mate this car looks absolutely perfect, great job! Both exterior and interior is amazing, can't wait to drive this car Let me know if you need any help Good luck!
Same here, if you need some Help with the Wiper Animation and Windows Rain Effect Preparations (except of "painting" the ARC Files, sorry, but i'm no Painter at all ), feel free to contact me.
Thx for all the likes and comments. I want to point out that the exterior is 99% Iaroslav Zavialov's work which was perfect for converting to rf2. @redapg and @Nick9320 I might take you up on this, but for now I'll focus on getting the engine ready. Fun fact, this car have an incar adjustable turboboost knob. But I have set it, so that if you go full boost for more than some laps, it will overheat and break the engine. I'm still fighting to get the boost gauge needle steady when going full boost, but think I have located the problem.
@Corti thx for those specs, it really helped alot. Haven't got around to read the rest of the pages yet. I now have the engine & gears tuned in and finetuned some physical settings. @redapg, what car specific are you mentioning, link?
Do you have GTR2 (The Video Game/Simulation )? If not, i can package it and send you the Link by a private Conversation.
Better late than never... updated first post with a test version v.0.50 Read the bug list. It has its flaws, after months of testing, I'm still unhappy with the tire feel... But give it a testdrive.
Watkins Glen & 935 K3 note: there was raining on track settings not so much trouble with tires on wet track for the moment: no wiper and rain tires it will come later i am sure
Hello Thomas. Man this car is a blast to drive!! When i was a kid i had a miniature of it in a MOMO livery, loved it! Keep it up and lets wait for the next release. Thanks.
@dumpberdog, I'm glad you like it. In the quest of research of the 935 and more specific the K3 version, I realized there were a ton of versions of the 935, even though the livespan range is about 4-5 years or so. Since this 3d model is specific a Kremer v3, I have, for now, kept the historical liveries to only being Kremer versions, but maybe I'll make a momo livery some day (which is a 935J or a mobydick variant). I have material for about 8 more Kremer liveries which I wish to make at some point, since it could be cool to have a 20 car field or more. There will be a week pause on this project, since I'm going on a small vacation where hopefully I'll get to see a 935 irl as a spectator at Oldtimer Grand Prix this weekend.
Just back from visiting the Oldtimer grandprix. It was hard to get a good glimse of the 935's since the two attending were "locked" away in the pit garages. But got this And here from their own stream (both are in the video at line up) https://www.youtube.com/live/7xRYU17hMT4?si=PN4i3oBnBkHfo9Es&t=1060
Updated to test version 0.54, with much improved setup values removing the boaty feeling. It still needs improvement, but better than before. For instance the car feels ok at nurburgring gp, but damper feels grainy at Donington. Those rear tires could use some more grip. I had to test it in an Oldtimer environment even though the zakspeed is in a "grey area". Link to the two other cars is in the video description.
In the last few days I have added these 5 historical liveries to the mod. There is something satisfying in hunting down old photo material, old logos or even recreating logos to make them as historical as possible.
