SGS? I may think about the wrong group here, but that means another private mod?

No, they first make it available to members of the CMS Discord, who provide input to complement the development.
We are often talking about models without interior textures, etc... which progressively get improved.

Right now, they have all the current GTLM in a more than advanced state and no longer use any DLC as a base -- which they did for the 488, 991.2, AMG, etc... -- making it simpler to BOP, using their proprietary tyres.
There is no obligation to donate, neither to CMS, nor SGS, but once their mods go public, there will be a huge influx of quality rides...

The Group 5 Mod is a port/evolution of the AMS mod by Matthew Sibayoni, which is an authorised conversion/evolution of one of the rF1/AC branches? Or something along those lines :-D

    Well, mostly private then.
There hasn't been many mods released, is it 11 or 12 mods they have used, and three has gone public.

Which, honestly is a fair choice - "race with us, or don't race the mods/cars". Just like mods that are exclusively on patreon or other storefronts like Tommy78 or Sergio Loro.

It was more of an expectation of "release", I'm not going to wait for that DRM/Gr.5 release :p

No, the mods will be public and are public. Just join the discord. Racing with them is encouraged, as is to donate, but not mandatory and not ideal, as the mods are all under development and input towards a final version is what is sought.

What is this ? Have some decency to be interested about actual car and be at least somewhat on topic if you commit to add up the thread. You don't get mods because you act like this. Why should you be given anything genuine ?

There are hundreds interesting things about this car IRL and mod of this car. I think this mod is on very good direction, it is very beautiful car and I think it could become a lot more impressive in many ways. I know it, because I can feel how Thomas is a genuine person, and only genuine persons will give you anything good at all, it always has been like this.

Speaking of SGS, I also haven't seen people having genuine interest about them apart just "pls give me, pls", this is why what you get don't get advanced.

I know, I have been a bit silent for awhile about this car.
The update is on pause, because it's being used in a league race which ends in end of marts.
I have participated in that league too and its given me a lot better understand in what it can be pushed to and some sort of Idea of what I want to change.
But I must also admit I have not developed more on it since last update, only made a list of feedback and things I want to do.
Among those things, I want to do some changes to the physics, since I have experienced some unwanted feel/behaviour at some tracks.

@mantasisg I know, I have not asked you yet, but I hope for some help/advise physics wise, when I have energy to dig deep into this again. Of course only if you also have the energy and time at that point, I'll reach out in private msg.

When I raced online with your 935K3, I felt that the following two points needed immediate improvement.

    1,Wet tyre performance
Even though the track is dry, it is possible to achieve lap times 4-5 seconds faster than with dry tires, and the tire heat generation and wear are also less than with dry tires. Also, even on wet surfaces it is possible to achieve a faster lap time than with a dry surface and dry tyres, so we recommend that you consider reducing the performance of your wet tyres.

    2,Collision Model
Because the collision model is not set (or does not exist), there is a possibility that the impact will be applied directly to the tire during a crash. In the worst case scenario, the player who makes contact (or the player who is contacted) may experience a CTD, so it is better to set (or implement) the collision model as soon as possible.

@I_Bellett thanks for these constructive informations, I will add them to my list.
About collision, I thought it wasnt necessary anymore to make a collision mesh, since it generates it own when the car is loaded.

Yes getting into leagues can be very good for accumulating ideas, because they wouldn't try to reach mod developer otherwise, so all their ideas would be lost. Good and bad ideas. Because in my experience leagues inevitably want to morph mod into what they want it to be. Well that explains not being eager on giving feedback and discussing things with original creator.

It is indeed quite interesting how car can becaome rather decent, and then you try it on different track and it becomes very different. There are so many variables in rF2.

@ThomasJohansen I will be probably working on some stuff for XJ13 for its next update till the end of the week. Then I just must replace 2.8RSR treaded tire (slicks are good), and do little tweaks for rear end geometry. That will be convenient time to look at your Porsche stuff too, just to give you some ideas. I suspect that something is not entirelly right with chassis, either geometry or subbodies setup, maybe chassis flex stuff.... These things just like tires can completely transform car. Sometimes on the first glance not significant parameter can change whole car, to me diff preload for Lancia D50 made massive difference. When working on 911s one of biggest wins was to elevate minimum pressures quite a lot.

Finally finished watching this. Pretty well done documentation with lots of great quality footage included, nice cosy commenting. I didn't know before that this racecar was this great and significant.

One week to go until SimracingOnline returns with these Porsches to blow out your eardrums!!!

2 rounds to go (Road Atlanta - 16th March and Sebring - 30th March) and 7 drivers still mathmatically in the running for the championship!!

You can still SIGN UP TO DRIVE HERE.

If you are new to the series, please make sure that post your car choice. This race is broadcast on Twitch LIVE so I like to have no duplicate paintjobs on track (plus in commentary I don't want to be confused ;)) and to have the overlays show all names and teams properly.

    See you next Sunday!! :)
