I wanted to share how its possible to race in multi screen (well 2 tellies) format without spending a fortune on expensive kit. I decided to post this video I took today after reading all the graphics cards/setup and settings threads. Demonstrating you don't need expensive Graphics cards and sli or multiview setups to achieve a nice immersive racing sim. Using 2 old Lcd televisions and an old q6600 intel cpu and a lowly single nVidia 550ti and softTH with the config tool. The results speak for themselves. Sorry sound is bad. Running 3552x768 resolution in rF2 with Hdr off, circuit and texture details full, player and opponent high, shadows high, shadow blur fast, everything else on low to medium. I think its Ace
SoftTH is awesome. The screens don't even need to be the same size or resolution. You can compensate for bezels too
I converted it but its not legal and I can only do ugly tracks I just happened to see a check box in the config tool of softTH that said something like "center on primary screen" so I thought 2 screens must be possible without having the bezel down the middle in a traditional dual screen set up.
Ah, that's funny because I also discovered this dual screen thanks to softth settings few month ago and created also a thread to explain it: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/20362-Dual-Screens-UPDATE The funny things is I set the second screen to be to my left, and not the right like you did Perhaps because I mainly drive left handled car Softth it's a great piece of software because you ca mix all kind of monitor/tv/etc. in any position, great!
Depends I drive open wheel cars they are mostly identical. 2 monitors I would be swapping left to right by tracks. Spa you would use right side. Some thing like Bathurst left side.
