Hello I'd like to request the option to turn off the real rear view mirror when virtual rear view mirror is enabled in cockpit view, as I find it distracting using both. Also the ability to toggle virtual rear view mirror on/off in cockpit view in game, rather than having to manually edit a PLR file would be good.
+1 good idea, the position of my seat in the 370z means I need the virtual one but I see about 1/4 of the actual in car mirror, would be great to turn that off (and might help FPS a touch too? maybe)
Just to have you know - it will not affect performance at all. Rear view is rendered into texture and then that texture is used on both real and virtual mirrors. It's the same texture and it's only updated once - doesn't matter how many mirrors it's then used on. And if it doesn't affect performance (not even slightly), then why give up mirrors in cockpit and watch black hole instead? Perhaps you prefer it this way, then so be it, but I don't se how this is a "much needed" feature.
fair point on the FPS. As for having them off for me its a distraction issue, in the GTs I have the seat right forward with the corner of the cockpit mirror showing and thats annoying so I have to move the seat forward more which is'nt exactly to my liking (I'm very picky about my cockpit view). Therefore the option to turn that off would be very welcomed.
