So, ive been playing the beta for a few days now, mainly driving the megane, which i really enjoyed, coming from iracing everything just felt better, then i tried the 60's classic at belgium, and wow, did i smile, its rare a game will make me do that, smile like a raving loony, the last one i can remember was the first time i tried a rotary in rise of flight.

Looking forward to future builds, i think we have a winner on our hands here.

60's are "smile makers", I especially like the Eves and Sparks.

yes, the 60's F1 cars are simply brilliant. I bought the rF2 beta JUST to play Spa and Monaco. I pray to Solid Snake every day that ISI will include more 60's tracks like Zandvoort, Brands Hatch, Nordschleife, Monza, Watkins Glen, Hermanos Rodriguez, Kyalami, Charade, and Jarama...

At this time there is one more planned from 1966. But that one wasn't planned until we licensed more cars from 1966... So who knows...?

I also bought rf2 specifically for the 60's cars. As an old (in every sense old) fan from GPL, it will be tough to wait for the 1967 tracks, specially the Old Ring, Zandvoort and Kyalami.
Keep up the good work guys.

The 60's formula cars are simply brilliant, I drive them on all tracks.

Actually, they made me so interested in vintage racing that I'm going to this years Historic Grand Prix in Monaco in May

    Yeah! They are amazing.

That's awesome. Really pleased to hear someone is getting something like that out of a sim.

I know a lot of people like their modern cars, and that's fine, but I do really want to help people to become aware of the history of the sport, too.

    I appreciate that.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe ISI have plans to include different types of historic content?? I seem to remember 70s NASCAR being mentioned. If so, are there any other areas of the sport you might look at? I'm thinking sports cars, say Group 5 circa 1970, Group C? There's some cool stuff to be found there.

Yes we have plans for other historic content.

    Also: http://www.facebook.com/rFactor2/posts/349052851812300

I'm actually quite pleased at how accurate I seem to be on where I am heading with my licensing. Some things are not possible, but everything that is I am going to try to make happen...

I'd really like to have the old 1970's Österreichring. Though it's not the same era as the current historic Formula's it'd be great fun to drive with them.

Yeh I can see it now, massive power sliding through the Bosch and Rindt curves!

One of the best photos you'll ever see is from the Österreichring with the two '77 Tyrrell P34's (Patrick & Ronnie) powersliding in unison - stunning.

Of the '66 season circuits, I think Zandvoort would be a great addition to Spa and Monaco - fits snuggly in between them in terms of the tyre of circuit (lots of medium speed corners).

    *Edit, found a lo-res version:

If we get period sports cars that's a track I'd love to run them on.

I have one of "those moments" driving the 370Z @ Malasya after 3 or 4 laps. Best simulation I ever tried, indeed.

Looks like I had it wrong, it appears to have been from Interlagos according to that website.
