Released NEW! Endurance Pack - Now Available!

@Slip_Angel Unrealistically fast isn't 'fun' for most sim racers. rF2 is inherently moddable; if you want you can throw a (n unencrypted...) car into devmode, give it 5x more power, twice as much grip, package it up and run it on any tracks you want, with friends as well. Then you can zoom along straights at 700kph and take hairpin bends at 220kph if that gives you a thrill.

I have a lot more fun driving a car on edge at 100kph on a medium bend, and in fact probably don't enjoy the modern tintops we have very much yet because I haven't found the limits (except when I quickly exceed them and fall off) so I don't get any feeling from them. I got sick of 'raw speed' playing Need For Speed in 2001.

Latest Endurance Pack Updates!

Porsche 991 RSR GTE
v1.93
- BoP (Balance of Performance)
- Fixed headlight glass reflections

Chevrolet Corvette C7.R GTE
v2.01
- BoP (Balance of Performance)

BMW M8 GTE
v1.73
- BoP (Balance of Performance)

Oreca 07 LMP2
v1.69

- Made the car a bit heavier to better correspond with real data.
- Further adjustments to correct engine power/torque output
- Adjusted downforce overall
- Further improvements and adjustments to Le Mans aero package
- Corrected engine inertia
- Corrected gear changes that were slightly too short (gear shifts)

The Bmw M8 GTE (i dont know if its fixed now) has much less downforce when a car is behind. In Spa @ Eau Rouge i lose control over the bmw if another car is following me (Multiplayer, tested serveral times with real players). Yes, there is perhaps a little downforce reduction but this is heavily noticeable. The following car should have much more untersteer then the first car should get less downforce.

Yes that is true for me as well,I also don't want car that is faster than factory spec car. What i don't like is say car makes 600Hp but BoP restricts the power to say 500Hp for competitive racing purposes.
This i don't like since i don't care much about racing but i care about car performance.
So if this new patch reduces power for sake of competitive racing then it is not what i'm interested in.

Would it generally be possible to always also update the first post with such infos?
That would give a much better overview.

But you don't know how much power it has, so the reduction (assuming there has been one) might have made it correct. What was your issue again?

but that's exactly what a BoP is for ? to balance the perfomance of the cars for competitive racing...

Good to know that my speculation on vehicle weight and inertia (which was about oreca 07 according to my last comment on thread->>https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/vehicle-mass.63766/) were somewhat correct.

like i said i don't care about racing much,I don't like car's performance degraded just for the sake of wheel to wheel racing, but this update fixes some of my complaints about weight/mass and inertia especially on oreca so i might just download it just for that.

yes i don't know what power it makes IN-SIM so i wouldn't know but i will for sure notice if there is actually any power difference(due to top speed acceleration etc on same setup)

That dude: "this is not real, make it real bla bla bla"
S397: slows down a car that is faster than the real life one
The same dude: "omg why are they doing this????"
rofl...
I never said car is faster than IRL since i never tested that BUT i saw many people say it.
Never assume

Geez guys regardless if he's wrong or right give him a break will ya.

Bloody ppl thinking rf2 will or can never be at fault. Ffs.

Really? That's what you take from it?

However, I've realised it's wrong to treat everyone like they're my age (or older), and I should try to let things slide sometimes. I'll try.

LOL :D :D :D rF2 is actually at fault for taking more than a year to fix this car, people have been reporting the issues since day 1 (heck they didnt even fix the rpm leds yet). Bro you need some professional help with some of your posts lately...

Yet your picking someone else to pieces for other faults. Lol double standard hypocrisy at its best.
