    Hi All,,

Time to show you all what i am trying to do.I am trying to put together a NasCar 2012-13 Mod and any help from NasCar fanatics would be much appriciated as i have lost 4 team members who give up this is not my style and i will carry on.

I have in game the 2012 Toyota hopefully pictured below this car will be your Demo car in the next 24hours or so. its far from finished but i hope to get some NasCar Fans involved to tune physics and convert .PSG to .DDS as photoshop for me is time consuming on my own!.

The Physics on the car at this time will be taken from the StockCar mod from rfactor1 and basicly been copyed into the new more detaled physics in rFactor2 its simple to do.

Has anyone got any oval track that i can hit 216.309MPH it is needed aslong as its scratch built or from rFactor1 this will go in the mod.

This is what it is ment to look like.

Indy is pretty fast. But that's all we have right now for high speed ovals. Too bad there's no Texas or Talladega yet.

216MPH? I can only ever remember 198 or 199. I follow them all the time.

Not quite 216 mph, but pretty close before restrictor plate racing started to slow the cars down.

Bill Elliott's 212.809 MPH lap at Talladega in 1987
Bill Elliott's 210.364 MPH lap at Daytona in 1987
Geoffrey Bodine's 197.478 MPH lap at Atlanta in 1997

    These were qualifying runs.

    Just found this:

June 10, 2004: Rusty Wallace tests a stock car without a restrictor plate for series sponsor Nextel to test communication capabilities, gets an overall lap time of 44.27 seconds (216.309 mph), beating Elliott's old record by more than seven-tenths of a second.

It looks and sounds like the new Gen 6 Cup car will draft over 200 mph as well. It was running 194 at Charlotte.

the car in the demo has 4 Track Configuration, Speedway , superspeedway ,short track and road course but they will still need work but the basic is there like the car might be to fast or to slow but now i have Info from SVO that we can use for the topspeed and drafting as best we can.

OH, I see, I hooked up with Nascar after restrictor plate came into play on super speedways.
I can also see why Nascar got all whimpy and started requiring them.

Nothing like a 3500lb flying car....err flipping, or whatever you'd be doing at those speeds. Reading an article today they estimated that w/o restrictor plates at SS's the cars would probably run around 230 mph. I think I'd want more than a catch-fence in between me and the track for sure!

I really hope that the stock car stuff catches on with rF2. Not that I'm a big fan, but it brings more coverage for the game in NA.

    Good job john
