Sorry if i sound dumb, but it says save by vehicle, does it mean that it will save my seat and mirror positions on each vehicle differendly? Also does it save the position automatically or do i have to press some other key combination (there is more than in bloody 3dsmax)
I want to have differend seat and mirror position in each vehicle

 

I knew about the ability to move these around in game, but it's only very recently that I worked out it wasn't just a beeping sound, it was someone saying 'mirror' and 'seat'

I don't know why but that always now makes me giggle

 

Why does it look like the car is moving up and down rather than the driver/seat? The wall in front didnt even move from the centre of the screen as the view was moving up and down.

 

i can see the wall moving, dont worry, its the seat moving, not the cockpit model

 

Not the best video to demonstrate, you cant see what the mirrors are doing.

I think you are right ......outside objects do not change elevation I can see, it is canned, otherwise the driver would look higher and lower in cockpit from say a TV cam .......wouldn't he ?

 

in reality, yes, in rF no, but dont worry, in cockpit view you trully moev your VIEW, not the cockpit model as i said...

 

Correct. Same when using 6DoF with TrackIR. Only your view (virtual head) in the car moves. Or at least that is what appears to happen.

 

Outside objects do change elevation and you can see it in the video. The movement seems very small, since they're further away from camera, so perspective gets in the mix. 20 cm of cockpit occupy large part of screen, while 20cm of pit wall occupies only a few pixels.

And like said above - driver 3D model is not in any way related to camera position in cockpit view.

You guys sure it's not canned right??... The wall isnt too far, I would have expected it to move vertically much more noticeably as he was moving his virtual seat/eye point vertically.

Every now and then in MP sesssions where we use TeamSpeak I'll activate my mic and say "miiiiiiirrrrrorrrrrrr, miiiiiiirrrrrorrrrrrr".... always gets a laugh.

 

Can someone please tell me what is the sound when moving the seat? I don't get it! Reminds me of a yodeler.

When I was playing with seat to check elevation I wandered between cars in BT20 room adjusting peoples seats and free roaming, it dawned on me it saves all cars seat positions not just yours. Cool

If I had to guess " seat seat seat " Sounds like " seet seet seet " to me. lopl
