F3-ROOKIES Room

My F3-Rookies Mods, are always v1.0 no matter how many I make, if you can't join uninstall, delete old one, download new one.

I like that way better rather then all drivers having to endure so many versions to clean up.

new mods when i get this working 101% Download GET MOD delete all old ones



We have track up for at least a week or longer.
We testing a lot of night at the moment.
Practice: 6 Hours daytime - 6 Hours Night ( 5x )
Race Time: 30 minutes ( if run )
Race Start Time: 3:PM to 5:30PM ( 5x)
Fuel: 4x
Tyres 1x ( for Lola to not self destruct )

Car/s for race agreed on, use car select.

Sorry for so many V1.0 mods, having trouble getting all cars to work and some weird stuff, not just the Corvettes and NSX even Howstons when I leave out the wrong year get a G4 wiper anim warning like Corvette.

Okay got it sorted now.

13 cars, 6 with headlights and race time and scale set for no headlights needed.

BT20
Eve F1, F2, F3
Spark F1, F2, F3

Howston G6 ( G4 stopped working was fine, wiper anim error)
Lola v1.4
Camaro
Honda BTCC
Honda NSX
Corvette C6 only ( I still cant find a way to run more)


All cars work in car select.
Not sure about joining ( Historics are a safe bet to start )
*** Do not pick NSX to join room only from car select.

Howdy Race Fans,

I'll be running this track as part of a rotation of tracks this weekend.

I really enjoy the changes made in the track. Especially the widened turns! : )

Historic F2s, possibly with our modified F3s, will be loaded up on the server.

Thanks for hosting the testing, gentlemen.
I've gotten some good feedback so far, and have implemented a bunch of changes already.
So far I'm enjoying this way of testing a release - seems to take some pressure out of it.
I dropped into Durge's room last night for a couple of hours. I didn't even turn a wheel. Most graphically intense IM program I've ever used :p
 
I am enjoying the living daylights (when there is any daylight ;)) out of this form of testing.
So lovely.

And the updates made to the track... beyond words. Stunning creation, this.
 
Oh man I am having such trouble Corvette and Howston G4 wiper ctds

Had it working spot on :(

I removed G4 left Just C6 seems ok now ..........I hope.


anyone help make a OFFICAL TEST mod with most car combos please

I've done some offline testing to investigate an issue with the way the environment is lit by headlights.
This is after noticing a big variation in how the 'vette C6 was lighting the road and terrain online last night.
It looks like it's only the third-party affiliate NSX and C6 cars.
Have tried ISI Camaro and ISI C6R - they work ok.
Howston cars are ok.
Lola T280 (1.4) is ok.
EGT pack is ok.
ISI Nissans are ok.
ISI BTCC is ok.

The parts where the lighting varies are separate meshes, so that explains why it's happening where it's happening, but I guess the why is related to headlight settings on the cars.
All the relevant meshes are set to receive headlights.
Longford does have some large meshes, in terms of the area they cover, so that might be related too.

You are not alone woochoo. I see the same at Nordschleife. Will add some pics to your bug report.
 
We found a few you probably already know about up side roads.

Assume they not a issue at the time.


Mad great fun playing cops ( Vettes ) and robbers ( Vettes Camaro Clio lool Megane etc )

I would like to set up a bigger room all night , fixed cockpits.

Give the felons 2 minutes start to go hide.

Cops are at a disadvantage because of their roof lights hehe

So a smart crook could hide out pretty well.

You can use all sorts of ruses at Longford to escape.

Real Dukes of Hazard lol

Enough cars and drivers that have a good grasp on the concept could be fun.

BTW Longford is a public road, 2 ways.

Anyone wants to do a session at this np.

Not worked out any rules Spin but we practiced.

Seriously I was almost crying. lol Pitbulls Tbones headons lool

We tried all cars as felons clio too.

Clio is very quiet to be sneaky in dark hehehe

100 of miles to free roam and night you can spot the cops lights from maybe 1/4 mile is all.

Another thing you could do is set fuel limits so robbers can hide out not use much and cops need to refill. hehehe

Hmmm U could also do a game like outbreak in dirt 3 but would have prey with lights because predators need advantage in that format. Even better get a good parking lot or most f1 tracks would do lol
 
Longford has 100 hide y holes

cops cant see you unless they get headlights on you

robbers can see cops coming but they can get boxed in easy. p

things to consider is fuel usage and engine noise hehe

You could be brave and sneak back to pits through paddocks to fuel I suppose hehehe
 
Arg this sounds like a blast, why must my t500 take so long to get here! Do y'all use teamspeak? I have a server I can donate if you need one, makes stuff like this 100x better
 
There are 2 servers running this test, one is part time. One server, F3 fanatics has TS.

The T500, well you ordered around Christmas ;)

We'll be running for few more days, possibly longer and although we have a lot of fun doing it, it is for track testing and feedback.

I hope to see you in time :)
