Good fun until after my 2nd stop. I came out of the last turn too fast and barely held it but I surprised a lapper who rearended me, I only got a little push in the right direction but he crashed heavily. Then, while searching for my focus which I lost somewhere I got off track and took Kane Larsky almost out while re-joining and that was the moment I decided to quit.

Ahh man, that was pretty intense XD

I can be pretty happy with 3rd in my first "proper" race. Least I managed to calm any nerves and get consistent times. Lost a ton of time deciding to get 1 tyre changed though...if I knew that changing 1 was the same as changing 4 in terms of time...>.>
Seems like even with 2X tyre wear, that they could almost go the distance, seeing as my fastest was my last lap and was on red tyres. Guess it's something to figure out. Also didn't know that ABS was allowed

yeah tire wear is pretty much non-existent at this point. I would probably have to set the server to 8x tirewear before we have to pit. I sure hope ISI is working on that.

 

Yeah I really hope so ai. That and the tyres don't heat up unless they are scrubbing. :-/

I hear ya Bull. I took tires in our last test race and lost to Kalle by 50 seconds... ;-) Only lost by 16.8 this time (no tire change), LOL!

 

You clever "weasel" managed to do it with only 2 stops! Think I know how you did it so maybe I'll try the same next race! (and find myself out of fuel in the middle of track? )

Yeah no tire changes this time either. I believe tire wear is not working at the moment - I mean it looks like it doesn't affect to grip. Last test race there was a moment when I started to think tires were wearing out but few laps later everything felt normal again - so maybe they just overheated for a moment. Oh and tire wear indicator wasn't even functional.

 

I was short shifting for nearly the entire race to make it on 2 stops.... ;-)
