But seriously, if there is an issue with the AI, please patch it quickly. These are now so awesome, we can't wait months to be able to use them offline.
I only really noticed it on AMP when testing, as it doesn't have a rubber profile the AI drove like complete idiots until it built up. Don't select green track.
I always start with green track and use naturally progressing RR. If the karts don't have this problem on other green tracks...
Hmmm, good point...From the videos of the AMP kart track I've seen on Youtube, it looks stupidly hilly. IIRC, the other kart tracks are totally flat...lower grip and lots of height changes...XD
I think the point Tim was making is that they spin on green tracks regardless of which track it is now. Or at least that's how I read it. AMP just doesn't have a preset at this point in time. I noticed the AI would spin if they got off the racing line at mountain peak kart track last night. Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
Out of curiosity @Tim Wheatley this contact patch model, will it be enabled only with Karts in the nearest future (as an experiment)? While next releases wait for more complete code or for example Megane update which you told me is still coming is getting this contact patch model too?
Also, is there something about the karts that make it a particularly good candidate for the first rollout of the beginnings of the update? Or was it just ready to a point?
A bit of both I presume. No real suspension makes them a lot more basic and predictable in result. That would be my guess. Good suspension on high end racing machine can hide some flaws in how tyres cope with loads I think.
The AC 427 was going to be first. Anyway, regarding UI, next build will have the kart setup options all included.
With the changes included with new Karts? Would be sweet. Also great to hear about kart setup options in the next build. Might help getting people involved into online racing with them.
Yeah, there is chassis flex for the karts. I would guess it's not shown in the replay to save file size, much the same way was the tyre flex is simplified in the replay.
