No way ME was better then SE

WHO in their right minds would ever use system restore, please ! lol

ME had more generic drivers , SE was the pits for USB and devices, ME used later Media Player that codecs worked well with.

As for all these early IT expert claims it was unstable that was just a load of baloney a few months down the track it was bullet proof for mine. ?

As for bench mark / performance absolutely no difference maybe faster if anything.
I had some world records in my class on mad onion with 98me directly against 98se

I consider people who call ME one of the worse OSes simply bad users, period.

ME was better looking then SE to boot.

ME was an utter disaster on my system. I remember those nightmares well.

+1 people hated ME because it was cool to hate ME. Same goes for Vista. Win8 is also cool to hate. People like to think that Win8 is just Win7 with a new start menu but they are sadly mistaken.

Well I have sort of those minimum specs, at Silverstone (most demanding track) everything at low or off, 20 cars online still gives me 20 - 30 framerates, I play the game from my laptop and connected to my TV. When there are 30 cars I have more problems. But I can confirm the minimum specs are ok to run Rfactor2 on most tracks and most situations:)
(I race online and I can still compete with everyone)

It would be better if this thread was left purely to Jeremy Miller's tweets.

Jeremys tweet goes about compilers. It is impossible not to talk about the platforms this compiling supports.

Going back to Jeremy's tweets... in one of the tweets it says:" build 256 working fine, waiting to see if something can be added" or something similar. That was 12 days ago.
I guess meshing up with a new compiling tool is putting quite a risk of unexpected behavior of next released build if it is finally included: as a first result test, last week's build went wrong. Or that or maybe that we will have to wait until September before an stable build is released.

Or maybe a third option, or a fourth, or a fifth, ...

People are very quick to say "well look at this, that must mean A... or B... " Well no actually, it doesn't mean anything for sure and rarely do any of us actually know. You alway seem keen to assume the worst though.

We are one week apart from finishing july. I must guess that isi activity will be reduced in august due to vacational time. If a new build is released the risk if provoking problems that could take a month to solve doesn't seem to compensate. This could take us until september before some existing problems are solved. That would be 20 months after first release.
For sure there are other options. I just give my opinion and expected a stable build before vacation.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not really over the moon with the unfinished state of some of the more basic features, even if I can understand they're aiming high in other areas and they'll be great when they're done.

But again, you're writing off August for vacations. Is this something that's been mentioned or just a blind assumption on your part?

Blind assumption if one can't consider his own experience to express an opinion. Maybe more information would satisfy our imaginative malevolous minds.
