Is it possible in rF2 to race on a LAN instead of online?

In rFactor it is possible to choose between racing online or to race on a LAN, with multiple computers connected to a LAN, racing against each other. That is what we do most of the time with rFactor. Is this also possible with rFactor 2? And how do I start a race on a LAN?

 

I haven't done it but I know people that have lan days and they have no problems. Is the same as rf1 i beleive. When setting the server set to lan and only in multiplayer when you join a server go into settings where you would choose spectate and set to lan.

 

I hardly remind, that a special port must be opened and set in the .json for LAN connections. Would maybe worth, to search in the forum about that.
