Think some people ask too much of the 'realism' aspect. There's only so much that can be done.

Have you tried to reset you max pedal input? I had this happening in a flight sim with the throttle, because the potentiometer at 100% outputted an inconsistent signal: maybe not enough to impact you rpm, but enough to make the animation flick.

One user here suggested a tiny deadzone at each end of the pedal movement. Instead of fully depressing the throttle and THEN clicking the MAX button, try this: Fully depress the throttle, then EVER SO SLIGHTLY lift off the throttle, just a tiny bit. Then click on the MAX button. That way when you fully depress the throttle, it is registering a solid 100%

Yes that’s what I always do

Odd things happening , it was completely lifting at certain times
I tested my accelerator pedal in windows & it’s fine + recalibrated it etc , hopefully be ok after fresh install

@Adrianstealth , what wheel do you have?
This could be an EMIs problem (tipical of bad isolated OSW wheels).

It might be as simple as the modeled foot following filtered input rather than unfiltered? (and that filtered input, at full revs, isn't kept at 100%)

But Adrian says "it was completely lifting at certain times".

@lagg Yeah, you're right, I skimmed over that one. I also haven't driven rF2 karts much so I don't know if any foot movement is normal :D

checked/tested etc, half an evening gone )-:

checked in iracing & windows controller config all perfect, checked pedal circuit board & plugs etc

then when in (rfactor2) I assign accelerate to a key on keyboard , the kart still splutters at higher reeves & odd occasion much lower speeds
( & animated foot flickers up & down ) even with the keyboard key firmly pressed down
( which confirmed its not hardware pedal related )

I'm suspecting that at the karts higher reeves theres more CPU processing and the load on CPU is somehow causing some kind of input interference ?
yes I'm clutching at straws & very frustrating/annoying.

Any ideas on this odd problem ?
( trying to avoid the option of ditching rf2 for another year after recently re-installing for Kartsim which is such a good package )

I've never had this issue... Anywhere...

    Odd indeed.

I have already had this phenomenon if I'm not mistaken with ISI Kart, or if I'm wrong, on the KZ1 Kart.

By cons I can not say more, because I have not retested.

    T500RS well tuned.

What is your system spec DF ?
Do you use motion or anything ?

I’m getting with both kartsim karts
    & ISI karts
Have to draft on the rental karts to hit the limiter ( tested Indianapolis )

Can’t seem to replicate it in non karts

I am quite fond of the rental kart. Observing the inputs and behavior compared with speed and both amount of input and slip angles, I cannot complain. Braking behavior is one area where a minor update would be welcome, otherwise it is mostly down with what my equipment is able to transmit to my hands and its ability to cope.

I do not think I can play or check in the coming days. I am in full sale of my house. If you have not found a solution by then, I should be able to check that by Tuesday.

I have already seen on rf2 a kart with a very fast movement of the foot/pedal when you reach the limiter.

I do not remember which one!

will test later taking the overclock off my CPU , nothing really else I can think off ( tried lots of stuff )

unplugging my pedals and using keyboard key for accelerate
(keyboard is wired not USB either) & same result shows its not a controller issue

if no joy I'll report it in the software bugs section hopefully a dev can replicate the problem & address

Kartsim within rfactor2 is brilliant so hope I can use without this problem as no good with
